^This.

KY will prolly stay with the orange menace but the down ballot races matter. I've never voted straight party line before but put up a D on my ballot last week.
I would really expect that to be frowned upon at the polling place.

You really should be extra careful filling out your ballot because meanies with magnifying glasses are looking for any picayune reason to disqualify your ballot. FYI.

Looks like Trump is up by 7 in iOwa according to the Des Moines register news paper. Definitely not a good sign for Joe Biden.

I was specifically referring to someone whipping out the D on their ballot.

Iowa is complete icing. Literally no way Iowa is the tipping point state.

While we wait, anyone (other than Taj) willing to admit voting trump this go round?
It certainly points out the bias and extreme tilt of this forum doesn't it? The fact that almost 1/2 of this countries voters will be voting for President Trump in this election and yet I may be the only one in this forum that will state i'm a Trump voter? Why do you think this is?

I have no way of knowing what the results are going to be on Nov. 4th to whenever the Democrats can be stopped from adding fraudulent votes, but my guess is that Trump will be re-elected, that the Republicans will hold control of the Senate and that Republicans will pick up seats in the House. Now it's just a matter of waiting and watching the results.

Now that you post less your nonsense is less distracting and more amusing. In small doses you are actually funny. Thanks for finding the right balance!

If Donald Trump doesn't get the full 270 needed to win, and the SC blocks Biden from getting 270, then the election goes to the House. The Twelfth Amendment says:
You do know that this means each State has 1 vote depending on which party is the majority party in the State.

Who would win the presidency in a tie?

In this partisan era, it is a reasonable assumption, at least to start, that the vast majority of members would vote along party lines. That in mind, let's look at who has the majority in each state.

The GOP held a decided 32-17 edge in control of these state congressional delegations prior to the 2018 midterms. With Democratic gains in that election, the Republican edge narrowed to 26-22. In 2019, Michigan Republican Justin Amash became an independent, breaking that state's tie. As a result the current split is 26-23, with one tie (Pennsylvania).

What about after the 2020 House elections? As noted earlier, it is the new House, seated in January, 2021 that would be voting. We have a new feature for that, called 'State View', that is associated with the House Interactive Map. Try it out for the 2020 Consensus by clicking or tapping the image below."

The Republicans would win and Trump would have another 4 years.

So many threats, but where to post???
I think I said it before, and now Donald Trump has admitted to this so remember you heard it from me first.

Donald Trump plans on claiming victory on election night before he has won the EC. I'll say that again, DONALD TRUMP PLANS ON CLAIMING VICTORY, ON ELECTION NIGHT, BEFORE HE HAS WON THE EC. Everyone should write that down and memorize it.

In the past we have witnessed an election where the president won the popular vote yet lost the EC count. Messing with the popular vote has been a republican practice more than once now (Florida 2000) however..... if Trump gets away with his little scheme, this will be the very first time in election history that a candidate has gotten away with corrupting the Electoral College to steal an election. Not the popular vote, but the Electoral College vote. FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!!!!!

As I said before somewhere around here, Trump's plan is to hatchet away at Joe Biden's EC numbers. If Joe has more EC votes than Trump, Trump will challenge one or more states, how ever many it takes, to reduce Joe Biden's total EC numbers thus placing Donald Trump in the EC lead ahead of Biden and thus handing Donald Trump the presidency. Illegally, YES... but never the less Trump wins. No wonder Walmart stopped selling guns....

Mark my words, for the first time in American history this president, Donald J Trump, will steal an election by screwing with the only numbers that matter, the Electoral College numbers. And THAT is exactly how Donald Trump plans on winning.

PS. And one way this will succeed for Trump is to challenge a chunk of ballots in a given state, even if that challenge is unjust or has no merit, Trump lawyers will still challenge regardless and that Trump challenge will win by default despite having no legal merits. How by default you ask???? If Donald Trump can hold aside a chunk of ballots of a given state while the court decides the complaint, all that Trump attorneys need to do is to run out the clock. SO while the chunk of ballots are held aside for further litigation, the clock will run out for those ballots to be counted via that states rules and thus the ballots will not count or be counted, Period. The ballots will fall outside of the state countable deadline. That only because, Donald Trump was successful in placing a hold on those ballots and then running out the clock. This is only one scheme where Donald Trump will pull EC states away from Joe Biden, state by state, until Donald Trump can claim EC superiority. I swear, these guys should be hanged ""HANGED"" as traitors to America. Trump will make Putin sooooo proud on November 3rd.

I guess 538 says Trump has a 1 in 10 chance of winning? I’m pegging it closer to 1 in 5 once all the lawsuits, SCOTUS and electoral college shens are factored in. Still too close for my liking.

Well, to be fair, technical websites (which Anandtech is) tends to attract smarter, clearer thinking people to it's ranks. So I guess it makes sense that most the members here are Democrats.

That is concerning. I'd prefer if it were less than 1/100. Or 1000. 1,000,000 better.

It’s going to be close but consider the other alternative, and I’m sure this has been mentioned before, where Trump wins but the Democrats take the senate. That might not be too bad of an outcome. Democrats could block Trump at every turn and even resurrect the impeachment process to hopefully take out Trump the second time. So.... watching who wins the presidency is one thing but also which side wins the senate. On the down side of that scenario, even with a Democrat controlled house and senate and with Trump re-elected, America would probably see another 200,000+ Covid deaths in short time only because Donald Trump would still be president. And just imagine the death toll after another 4 years of Trump.... That terrifying thought in itself would more than justify a Democrat controlled house and senate to take out Donald Trump.

1/100 would be a 5 likelihood in my line of work
1/1000 would be a 4

I leave it up to you to decide whether it’s a catastrophic risk if he wins.

If Trump wins, the dems will likely not retake the Senate. And vice versa. Because polling errors are usually correlated.
