so, you don't want to answer the question so you make a meaningless defense that doesn't apply. Anything to not say "Well, that's what Trump said!"

I mean, you were asked, very simply: "Where did you get this information?"

And you replied "difficult to prove a negative!"

wtf man. Are you literate?

I asked if you were asking where the story came from, and I was trying to clarify. Its not difficult to find.

Trump was the ultimate troll and Rush Limbaugh creation.

He was a once in a lifetime candidate, I don't think we'll ever see the likes of him again.

Not a chance in hell.

What if we see someone more motivated, more competent?

If this holds...it really looks like Biden will probably be a one term President, be it because of health, age or ineffectiveness. As many of you said, you kind of get the feeling that Trumpism still "won.". Now a lot can happen in 4 years, but I can imagine Trump or his surrogates keeping the enthusiasm alive and well until 2024, priming for a serious red wave. The question is, who takes the mantle for their party and are these 4 years just the calm before the real storm?

I know the counterargument is the popular vote and exit polls indicate "Dem policies are popular," but the actual election results (especially Congress) just don't show that. I just get this sinking feeling 2024 will be an actual landslide/mandate type of election, the only question is who is going to be leading the charge for Republicans? Is a guy like Stephen Miller the natural evolution of all this???
Donald Trump 2024!!!

Don't be surprised if it happens. In fact, I think the troll will troll Biden much like he did Obama and make a second run at it in 2024..

An open qanon supporter just won a house seat. You're out of your gourd if you think we'll never see this level of crazy again.

Oh yes, the batshit on the right is limitless right now. The question is will another candidate emerge to excite the republican base the way Trump has.

I think we're going to find out that the polling was off because the pollsters under-estimated GOP turnout. They thought it would be high, but not this high. Because Trump is bringing out the yokels in a way that no other candidate has. And much of it has to do with Trump's personality.

Not to scare you, but there's no reason Trump can't run again in 2024 (if Biden's path to 270 holds up).

Trump was plenty motivated. So far as competence goes, that could be an actual negative for base support on the republican side. It might suggest to them that he's too conventional.

All the more reason to see his crimes prosecuted! Watching him try to pull a Grover Cleveland would be horrifying.

That said, I fully expect a Trump to be running in '24. But I think Jr or Ivanka would actually have a much tougher time with things.

I don’t get why it takes much smaller States than mine so much fucking time to count their fucking votes.
Massachusetts does it pretty fucking quickly with simple ballots and old and reliable scanners. This isn’t rocket science.

That's not what's happening, but even if it were there is no way in hell SCOTUS would do such a thing.
That's what I figure. Those 9 people have an idea of what separation of powers is about. They are not gonna sell their souls for what amounts to absolutely nothing. They have lifetime appointments, it's a one way street, Trump, better hitch hike the other way motherfucker.

I work remote too (permanent now), but we're freakin slammed in my world (and have been all year).

We used to present in front of clients for high-dollar ones. Now it's 100% remote - not that traveling to see a client is a big deal... I actually miss the travel aspect. But anything is better than daily cubicle - which will never happen for me because my employer doesn't even have an office near me.

Overall I'm not in charge of finding the clients so if my work is light I can always point the finger at the folks that supposed to fill it . It's been off and on, some weeks are busy, others are empty.

From my understanding the exile vote is still hoping to make Cuba collapse and be given all their land/businesses back. Fuck the Cuban people in the process.
Yup, they have been hoping that for decades. Fat chance they'd get their digs back if Cuba collapsed.

I figure Trump will go for the Grover Cleveland maneuver if he's not locked up or holed up in exile.

So my wife just got a timeout from Twitter when she told Newt Gingrich to go "fuck off and die" after he repeatedly tweeted claiming voter fraud with no evidence. I guess it violates Twitter's ToS to tell someone to go die. So much for their liberal bias.

Why aren't they banning Newt for spreading false information?

Given enough time, any non-existential problem will get solved on its own. Judges die, empires fall, peoples are enslaved and set free, but the world keeps spinning. I'm worried about the actual end of our species, not the end of 'the American dream'.
I know the thread has probably moved on a bit since this post, but at this juncture in time meaningful action on climate change has got to be the top priority of our species. That such action could also be used to recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic and reduce the likelihood of another one should make it an easy sell. Unfortunately, all over the world there are still too many people and too many governments invested in digging up and burning fossils. A Trump election would have almost certainly meant that there would be no meaningful action in the next four years and would likely lock in irreversible damages. Biden at least has a plan of action on climate change.

Good speech by Biden. Even keeled, humble, respectful of the process and good ol math. Will only call more to accept his victory, while Trump support is bleeding out apparently. Goodbye dipshit.

I think that's perfectly possible. Maybe Trump should be taken as a warning? An evil clown sent back in time to warn us of the more serious dangers ahead. The Terminator crossed with Mr Bean.
