I usually avoid him like SARS-CoV-2, but to see his reaction to being owned I would at least have a peak. Being the revisionist he is, though, I assume he'll deny losing. That's who he is... i.e. pathetic. It’d be fun to watch trump’s reaction if Biden took Georgia & PA.
Of course, unless the Dems are insane (admittedly always a possibility!) and let him run for a second term uncontested, we'll probably see a more dynamic candidate from the Dems in '24 as well. I feel like a huge part of Biden's appeal was the desire to return to something resembling normalcy. That should be less of a thing in four years. I fully expect that at a minimum, Harris, Buttigieg and (for better or worse) AOC will all be in the running for the nomination. What if we see someone more motivated, more competent?
Please post the link... 538?Right, that's that done-and-dusted, now to go back to repeatedly refreshing the tab with the pandemic data.
In a sense, it may actually be a good thing. The more time he spends railing against a hopefully unchanging vote tally, the less time he would have to blow things up during the lame duck period.I usually avoid him like SARS-CoV-2, but to see his reaction to being owned I would at least have a peak. Nope, the incumbent usually wins a POTUS election if he's a decent candidate, Trump's a nightmare even if he could generate buzz and votes in the GOP, too much of a distraction though, he'd never be considered again, just like Hillary probably won't.Not to scare you, but there's no reason Trump can't run again in 2024 (if Biden's path to 270 holds up).
No matter what any of us say, I don't think any of us will *truly* count on anything until the electors actually cast the votes.I'll just echo my previous message last night when someone was dismayed because he thought Trump has won. Biden is looking good, don't get too sure of things just yet.
So my wife just got a timeout from Twitter when she told Newt Gingrich to go "fuck off and die" after he repeatedly tweeted claiming voter fraud with no evidence. I guess it violates Twitter's ToS to tell someone to go die. So much for their liberal bias.
Why aren't they banning Gingrich for spreading false information?
I asked if you were asking where the story came from, and I was trying to clarify. Its not difficult to find.
'Stop the Count' Protesters Surround Michigan Election Office as Trump Sues
The protest from Republican poll challengers came after the Trump campaign said it would file a lawsuit in a bid to stop the count in Michigan.www.newsweek.com
Covid has been a huge wildcard though. As incredibly depressing as it is to say, it seems extremely likely that Trump would have won in a pandemic-free world. If he's a free man, I can totally see him trying to turn that fact into another run, and you know he'd go into the GOP primaries with significant support.Nope, the incumbent usually wins a POTUS election if he's a decent, Trump's a nightmare even if he could generate buzz and votes in the GOP, too much of a distraction though, he'd never be considered again, just like Hillary probably won't.

Joe Biden was never my preferred candidate, but Dems needed someone electable. Out of the leading candidates, Biden seemed to be the most acceptable to mainstream Americans and independents. Despite Bernie's politics, I think he was electable as well but it certainly would have been a higher-risk pick. The remaining candidates were all less likely to defeat Trump IMHO. We also need to face some tough facts here, which is why I'm in no celebratory mood. If Trump hadn't so thoroughly botched COVID-19 response, he would have won. If COVID-19 hadn't come along at all, I think he wins relatively comfortably (not a blowout, but I'm guestimating something like 325 EC).Of course, unless the Dems are insane (admittedly always a possibility!) and let him run for a second term uncontested, we'll probably see a more dynamic candidate from the Dems in '24 as well. Margin is down to 266K in PA. My god man, this is glacial. Why won't they just finish!

Well said. It's probably too late, but well said regardless.I know the thread has probably moved on a bit since this post, but at this juncture in time meaningful action on climate change has got to be the top priority of our species. That such action could also be used to recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic and reduce the likelihood of another one should make it an easy sell. Unfortunately, all over the world there are still too many people and too many governments invested in digging up and burning fossils. A Trump election would have almost certainly meant that there would be no meaningful action in the next four years and would likely lock in irreversible damages. Biden at least has a plan of action on climate change.

Worst thing I ever heard a Woman say to me “are you done yet”
Republican scum will just blame the democrats for Trump, and remain confident that their republican senators are all moral, godly people, only interested in the good of the country. If Trump is gone soon, it will take republicans about 2 minutes to start pretending that they never liked Trump and think that all teh healing is already done. ...that the Senate remaining as it is is just more vindication of how right they are.If Biden pulls this off, it will be a somewhat hollow victory to me. Trumpism is obviously very alive and well in this country. Oh don't get me wrong, to see Trump and his piece of shit grifter family out of the White House is desperately needed and will be a great thing for this country, and to see so many of his moronic cultist voters deflated will be fantastic, but with a Republican senate and SC, I don't see much good happening as it took a perfect storm to get Trump out, and just barely (EC wise). This country is still fundamentally broken. Too many brainwashed idiots. I want out.
That's some shameful conspiracy theory believing bullshit, huh? It's an attack against the integrity of election systems & workers everywhere.
There's already been tons of asshats on this forum stating 'The only reason Trump won is because the Democrats put up a poor candidate', 'Democrats are the only ones who could put up a candidate that could lose to Trump' etc etc etc. Even when it's a Republican's fault, it's the Democrat's fault.Republican scum will just blame the democrats for Trump, and remain confident that their republican senators are all moral, godly people, only interested in the good of the country. These are all fucking horrible people, and the country can't progress until these republican bastards are gone.
I heard last week that Maricopa County is very likely what gives Biden the edge in AZ. I think they said the suburban housewives, Trump's Achilles heel. We'll see in about 4 hours. Good news is it probably won't matter. Things won't all be counted in 4 hours, but it will be a big dump of late arriving absentee ballots from Maricopa county. If that doesn't narrow the margin, the lead should be safe.
