I don't see how Blockchain would help at all. The actual transfer of results isn't the issue, it's the data entry and collection. How would people get their votes onto the blockchain? How do you authenticate them to be sure it's them? Is this blockchain public? If it's public, how does that mesh with the secret ballot. If it's not public, why use it in the first place?

I know USPS is looking into it, but really, really doubt anything will come of it.

I need some information on absentee ballots.
My Trumpie family are claiming the reason for the Trump lawsuits over mail-in ballots is because it can not be determined when a ballot arrived for counting. Was it after the deadline, or before? In time or late? My Trumpies claim that requested absentee mail-in ballots are return envelope PREPAID, and thus not stamped with a postal date. Normal mail, mailed with a postage stamp has a postal mark with the date, but they claim prepaid mail-ins are not stamped or dated. So they claim, Trump should disqualify undated mail-in ballots.

I'm guessing they are full of shit, where the prepaid pre-stamped ballots DO have some sort of postal processing stamped on them. True?

my understanding for PA is they're both correct and full of shit.

unless a ballot can be proven it was sent after polls close ( not received) then it is valid .

much like the whole concept of innocent until proven guilty.

Georgia is getting tight. Down to 18k votes between them. The million dollar question now is how many votes do they have left to count? It's going to make a hell of a difference if it is 10k, 50k or 100k.

Edit: Just saw on the 538 live blog that it is something like 25k votes left in Georgia. If that is the case then Biden will need to win about 90% of the outstanding votes. I think that's probably going to be just too tall of a task.

The TV News folks are wondering about the cooperation between republicans and a president Joe Biden. The expectation is that republicans will not cooperate or have any desire for doing so. I disagree. I believe fighting the virus and controlling the virus will take up pretty much all of the first couple years of a Joe Biden administration, and with doing that for the common good of the country. I believe republicans will cooperate with a president Joe Biden to address the virus, or... republicans will be shamed into it. When president Joe Biden wants to mass produce PPE, and instant testing kits, and N95 masks, and eventually vaccine availably I can not see a Mitch McConnell not wanting to cooperate. Or like I said if not, then Mitch would be shamed into cooperating. But considering that Mitch McConnell takes the virus seriously and wears a mask and has avoided mass gatherings at the Trump Whitehouse I'd assume that Mitch takes the virus very personal and very serious and his cooperation would be a given. Mitch would understand that having instant testing at the workplace, in the bars, in the restaurants and before entering public buildings, and in the schools, that would allow re-opening of most all of society and everyone should see that as a huge plus for America. In the past, recounts only swung +-200-500 votes. This looks really really really bad for Trump.

The problem with partisans is they always overestimate themselves and underestimate their opponents. Mother Jones was telling people Biden had it in the bag and it was time to admit it. Convincing people of that decreases voter turnout. Here it was Biden by a landslide. On Fox it was Trump by a landslide and both sides believed it. This foolishness happens EVERY DAMNED TIME.

In this case the winner owes his victory to dumb luck, although I'll say that Biden didn't take the bait and back off.

If Biden continues his current clip he’s on track.

Biden is still in good shape in 4 of the 5 states. Trump needs to win 4 out of the 5. Biden only needs 1-2.
