I was using my IP35-E with 2x 1GB OCZ Gold PC2-6400 before.
The OCZ modules I had were programmed properly, I think. One of the SPD value was DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V.
Although this had worked (BIOS and all), I kept getting errors (apps crashing, etc).
At first, I thought it was my CPU or my OC settings, but as soon as I set the RAM timings to manual, and set the voltage to 2.20V - all problems went away.
Of course, later on I upgraded to Ballistix DDR2-800, which to my surprise had DDR2-1000 settings burned in the SPD.
They're running at 500 FSB easily - way better compared to the previous OCZ (maxed at DDR2-900). For the same price, I wish I hadn't bought the OCZ.
The same pair of OCZ now reside in my other system (super cheap E4500 & ECS GF7050).
They seem to run fine there, but I set all the timings and voltage manually anyway to be safe.
just my 2c - try playing with manual settings since Auto just didn't seem to work for me.
