Does anyone know what a red light might mean. It's between the ATX power and the RAM slot

it's the 5VSB LED there to show you that there is standby power connected to the mobo.

probably FlashMenu. It's 1 of the better programmes for flashing in Windows but that in itself is inherently riskier than doing it in DOS so I/we always recommend using AWDflash (supplied in the BIOS download package) in DOS.
BIOS 18 is final & is dated 30th May 2008.
Info on how to flash an abit either from floppy or USB memory stick http://www.theraptorpit.com/fo...dex.php?showtopic=2628

Hey guys,
I've recently lost video on my system below in the sig. Swapped out video cards and still not getting a signal to the monitor. I did notice a green and red light next to the 24 pin power on the MB. I've been trying to download the IP35-E manual from Abit without much luck. Does anyone know what a red light might mean. It's between the ATX power and the RAM slot
it provides a tutorial plus (at least for the USB section) provides links to the HP disk format utility & the necessay DOS files for setting up & flashing from an USB memory stick.Originally posted by: TungFree
The site works but the links on that site go in circles and there is no download for any of the flash packages, just tutorials how to work the software.
Anyone have a site where the flash tools package can be downloaded?

I'm having trouble with my board reading the proper temp of my E8400. The idle reading stays at 98C. At first I thought I was seating the HSF wrong, but research showed this to be a false reading. My core temps sit at 26C and 32C. I've disabled all my temps alarms to keep my computer from freaking out, but has anyone found a fix for this problem? I'm concerned how not having an accurate temp will affect my OC'ing.

I've been reading that there is a persistent problem with the IP35's properly reading the temps of E0 e8400s. I hate to replace my board, but it looks like with Abit's financial woes, we won't ever be seeing a fix. I purchased a Gigabyte EP45-DS3L today.
Don't worry then. Ignore that big number and just watch your core temps. That is what I do with my 610i/7050 chipset motherboard, it has no CPU reading just cores.Core1: 32C | Core2: 26C
