Any comments on this from anyone?

Impossible to know based off of one mission. Unfortunately you'll need to play a couple hours to get a good feel for the character, but from what you described it should be fine, especially after you start levelling up your Light Armor stats.

I haven't found any place thats particularly heavy with ore veins (besides Dwemer ruins). Even the mines only have a couple. I usually end up having most of the ore/bars I need just from regular adventuring by the time I'm ready to make a new set of weapons/armor, and I buy what I dont have.

Dwemer ruins have TONS of dwarven armor, ingots, and pieces to smelt into dwarven ingots. Dwarven gets underpowered pretty early, but if its your material of choice at the time, a run through a single Dwemer ruin should give you enough bars to craft and upgrade a full set of armor and weapons for you and a follower. You can't make a set of light dwarven armor though, its heavy only.

I haven't run into a single Dwemer ruin yet, but I'm still only exploring the areas south of Winterhold (?). My hoarding ways has no accumulated $39k in gold, and I'm mostly avoiding paying for training right now.

At level 25 and with a decent archery skill, I can finally take on multiple giants and mammoths at once. But damn is the block skill hard to level up.

Awesome/weird thing was a random dragon that followed me and landed right in the middl of Falk____ (SW town). The entire village joined in and now there's a dragon corpse in the middle of the main boulevard.

Yea I've found the block skill a pain to level as well. I really just wanted to get to the Block 50 perk that gives you elemental protection with your shield up, so I took to just running into packs of enemies and blocking their attacks while my follower kills them.

Pretty much all of the menu clicking issues I had were solved with the patch. I only have a couple problems with it now. Sometimes when I click on a category on the far left it closes the menu, and after I read a book through my inventory the mouse doesn't work unless I click on the left column. Other than that I find the mouse works fine.

Well not for me 100% and there are a lot more issues than that with the PC UI.

And of course there's the few very lucky players out there whom never get any CTDs claiming that because they themselves never get any that automatically it means that the game is perfect, pristine, a coding example amongst coders of this world, and that anyone getting CTDs must have an unstable system (mark my words).

The only time my game crashed was when I alt-tabbed in and out of the game several times. And I just started using the borderless window AHK script, so that's not even an issue anymore.

So I guess I'm one of the lucky few who aren't having CTDs.

If you want to level your weapon skill, turn up the difficulty, dismount from your horse, and attack it. When its hp gets low, rest for 1hr, rinse, repeat

ummm... my companion is missing.. lydia. but the thing is she isnt dead.. her bed is still owned and I can not get another companion. is there way to find her or bring her back?

i think it has to do with buggy "command system" i told her to wait while i go on sneaky attack and she probbably went over the mountain or something.

of course fast travel was tried as well as sleep etc.

help~

UPDATE. FOUND HER! just incase anyone else has problem finding their companion (missing, not dead) this is what I did.
I got into battle in the area where I last saw her, and I donno where she came from but she joined battle soon after.
Companion was in don't follow mode.

Awe isn't that just adorable, the little Nord killer just hatched from his egg.

LOL he somehow got stuck in this pot. We "walked it off" after a few seconds.

Just finished the Dustman's Cairn quest to get into the Companions at Whiterun. That dungeon felt like this to me:

easy, easy, easy, easy, easy, OMFG HARD, easy, easy, easy, easy.

There's this one area where you face about 6 bandits and a bunch of mummies all at once. Took about 8 or 9 tries to get through that part.

Is anyone having trouble switching between dual-wielding 1h weapons and spells? If you assign a hotkey for a spell/weapon, pressing the hotkey will only equip it in your right hand. So you have to manually select the spells/weapon with the mouse every time you want to switch if you intend to dual-wield.

I'm finding it more accurate to not hot key things and just select them from the favourites menu. I don't know why but the hot key bindings seem a bit flaky at times. Maybe it's just me?

Ha! Draug Death Overlord pops out of a casket near her and Drusilla's Daedra Lord bodyguard jumps him, his sword making the draug catch fire. Daedra made mincemeat of the DDO in short order. I also like using a storm atronach against dragons.

Disappointment though. A dragon appeared once again near a village where I had already killed two blood dragons. Thought I'd use the powerful revenant spell to resurrect one of those to fight it but that only moves the skeleton. Bummer.

Maybe dragons cannot be resurrected except by Alduin.

Do you remember back when you were at level 8-10 or so. How many medium-strong bandits could you take on before it became an oh shit moment? I'm getting stronger but I can still be wasted by 3 strong bandits. Draugr are mostly a joke for me though.

I'm having trouble with bandits at level 22. In fact, bandits are the only enemies that actually give me trouble. They seem to scale in a strange manner.

Hmm Oblivion scaling for bandits, more reasonable scaling for everything else? :hmm:

I haven't even really noticed scaling in this game. Or, at least enemies that used to be hard are now not so hard.

According to my Prima guide, bandits can go up to level 25, 28 for the bandit chiefs. So those would be tough if you are level 22.

My conjured dremora lord is level 30 so he has some use left in him. Other dremoras you can meet are up to the mid 40s.

I just did that quest last night and I know the exact spot you're referencing. Took 8 or 9 tries here as well... and I'm level 22 so I was expecting to steam roll everyone considering it's a quest you can get very early on in the game.

Just faced a Blood Dragon last night at level 12 or so. I was just running tot he Bards college quest where you have to return the voice and he comes swooping down on me. I popped Berserker Rage and destroyed him. I lost like 20 health after standing in his breath the whole time. Berserker Rage is amazingly powerful.

Also that first bards college quest was a lot of fun.

Also, if you have them wait and forget or can't get back to them they will get tired of waiting and return to the original spot where you found them. Of course if it's a companion you paid for, you'll be paying again to pick them back up.

LOL this is why I hate pc gamers, they complain about every single thing. The perks menu starts in the middle of the screen and not on the left? WHAT EVER WILL I DO??! I have to move my eyes left AND right? Holy fuck I might as well give up on this game.

And for a guy who lists every single problem he can think of with the UI, he doesn't mention any issues with the menus not recognizing mouse clicks.
