LOL this is why I hate pc gamers, they complain about every single thing. The perks menu starts in the middle of the screen and not on the left? WHAT EVER WILL I DO??! I have to move my eyes left AND right? Holy fuck I might as well give up on this game.

And for a guy who lists every single problem he can think of with the UI, he doesn't mention any issues with the menus not recognizing mouse clicks.

I honestly just navigate the menus with wasd e and tab. Works well and I've gotten used to it.

I'm having trouble with bandits at level 22. In fact, bandits are the only enemies that actually give me trouble. They seem to scale in a strange manner.

Think I'm level 26. I can essentially one or two hit kill regular bandits/highwaymen, but the chiefs/boss bandits can still take half my health off or outright kill me at times.

Booo. My CTDs are getting worse. Had about 6 in the last day of play alone.

Legion-hating game.

I had a few yesterday however today only had one CTD after playing all day, first I thought it was my new PC build but after it passing Intel Burn Test program and my other games are rock stable too ,plus if you go to their forums quite common CTDs etc....

I did speak to my friend today and he said he a few lockups while playing Skyrim so hopefully a patch or two and it'll be fixed.

I wonder if there is a memory leak in the game?...

Anyway one thing about Skyrim is the game is huge, once we see a few good mods and expansion packs down the road its one game you will be playing for years.

So should I wait for the first patch to buy this game? I want to play it very bad but as usual Bethesda games always have tons of game killing bugs. All of you are making me jealous.

Decided to use J'zarco as a companion. We make a nice team, summoner & destructomage, with a daedra lord/Strom atronach bodyguard. However, Drusilla got careless fighting a blood dragon and got within bite range. Saw my first third-person dragon finishing move as it grabbed and hurled her against the cliff face.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Game is huge! I thought I've seen most of it and then decided to follow the main quest... color me surprised

However, I one shot pretty much anything... Daedric heavy armor, enchanted some other pieces with +blacksmithing (total +100% blacksmithing), upgraded the daedric armor and greatsword (so I'm at 850-ish armor rating, over 1k with shield, 2x +28 heavy armor helps )... put two dmg enchants (fire and shock) on the sword, added a few +45% dmg with 2-handers on necklace, ring, gauntlets and boots... ~500 dmg + ~60 from enchants. I'm walking death, literally.

Can't wait for a second playthrough Will run on max difficulty and play a mage. Should be a blast!

Then a third with a sneaky type... Daggers with x60 dmg sneak attack total bonus? Yes please Plus that Ebony Mail from one of the quests is soooo awesome!

This game is everything Bethesda promised and more. Can't wait for DLC too - hope it will be like Shivering Isles or similar!

EDIT: I think the stacking is a bug. It would be better if only the highest value would be considered. But since the option is there...

Wow...went to fight a hagraven at Orphan's Rock. She was nasty, major explosive fireballs and I couldn't outrun them. I snuck to the hut across from the rock and sniped at her with my bow for like 3 shots and she was down to 75% health.

Then she came over to the hut to try to find what was hurting her so I hid on the other side of the hut until she started to go back and sniped her again. did this one or 2 moe times to get her at 50 health and i think she caught on and came after me.

Blasted her down with dual lighting. Man she was tough!

Some of the rewards for these quests suck. Some really hard fights and you get like next to no reward.

Going to try to get the most I can out of it the 1st play through. I've never been good at replaying games. Just can't get into it a 2nd time through. I remember every second of everything and I just don't find a second play through of anything very enjoyable. Though TeS games might be the exception to the rule. But I agree it's a fantastic game.

Well technically the first patch 1.1 was already released, though it didn't fix much. They are promising the next patch about 2 weeks after thanks giving in the US. Hopefully that will fix much more. And AMD is working on their next CAP and driver update for it. Without any of these the game Is unstable for me but still very playable if I save every 5 mins or so, which kind of becomes a habit in any game like this anyway. If you can get by playing that way I say get it now. If that would drive you nuts then wait.

While the CTD issue is frustrating, I've played 70 hours and had about 13 CTDs, so it's not too terrible.

I've experienced no other issues other than NPCs with butter knives thinking they are the Almighty or something.

The only real reason to wait is if you want to get it on sale later on or aren't sure if awesome game play is for you.

I'm also somewhat doubtful it will get THAT much better stability wise. If you save often it's still more than playable, and a joy to plat too.

Also, if you have them wait and forget or can't get back to them they will get tired of waiting and return to the original spot where you found them. Of course if it's a companion you paid for, you'll be paying again to pick them back up.

I think "stay here" command I gave right before has messed that up.

I've tried waiting for 3 days in the house I bought and fast traveling but she never showed up.:'(

I'm level 30ish pure mage and just rolling through people. At one point I thought I had made a mistake, but then I read a post elsewhere about how to make sure your mage takes no prisoners.

My destruction was also lacking because I ended up becoming a conjur/resto mage to survive. But then I did what's below and am tearing it up.

One thing that helped (didn't believe at first) was that Magicka regen is far, far, far less important than the bonuses that reduce the cost of spells. Your magicka will regen like crap in combat no matter what. However, if you have a good amount of reducing benefits, you can cast and cast and cast.

The main step was getting enchanting to 100. You want the 5/5 initial benefit, Insightful enchanter, Corpus Enchanter and Extra Effect perks.

You'll want to disenchant something with a destruction bonus on it to get Fortify Destruction.

Enchant a ring, circlet and necklace with Fortify Destruction. Once you're at 100 enchanting, these pieces will really rock.

Put your perks for Destruction into Shock 2/2, the usual adept/etc, Dual Casting and Impact (nice).

For leveling, keep choosing Magicka until about 300-350 base then go health. Also, get health on 1-2 pieces of your gear.

Get the spell Chain Lightning. Dual cast it to send your enemies into oblivion. Once I did these changes and started dual casting, my destruction took off. Took me like three days to go 50-51 before this. After, I went to 75 in a handful of hours.

Should point out that the Impact effect works on dragons. Without any real magicka regen on me, I'm having no trouble. Took on 8 guards at once last night and the battle lasted about 30 seconds I think. My magicka bar was still plenty full for more.

In short, do your stuff right and being a pure mage is plenty fine for blowing through stuff. BTW, my armor is the arch mage robe and some 0 or 1 armor items. Don't need it.

1)For enchanting, do the benefits of items you have previously enchanted level up with you as your enchant skill levels up? Or do I have to continually enchant stuff as i level my enchant skill up?

2)Whats the point of the soul gems? I have NO fucking idea what theyre for lol.

3)What is the arch mage robe? Did you make it or just pick it up somewhere?
