I know very few companies that do this. A few actually do! But it's rare.
Yeah, I know; lol. One of the reasons i'm very happy with my 1-Series BMW, free maintenance for 5 years! :awe:

Don't think so. The way that Oblivion worked if I remember correctly is EVERYTHING is essentially hand placed in the construction kit editor.
This is definitely not the case in Skyrim. I've had several instances where I would die, load the game, re-enter the dungeon, and notice that some of the items laying around have changes (common soul gem > petty soul gem, etc.)
Same with pickpocketing.

I joined up to contribute to this skyrim thread!
These are all pc shots.
Heres some of my screenies from me modding or randomnes
Any idea where those texture mods are, or when they are releasing?
hmm hit 100 on blacksmithing and have a ton of mats. went to make some dragonscale armor (wtf its ugly! like my drawven stuff a lot more) and after makeing it all i crashed. ahhhh!
it pissed me off i turned off the game. then thought about it. i haven't saved for like 2 hours...
that was last night. don't want to turn on my game today hehe
I wonder if the loot type is different depending on the difficulty level? from my memory TES games didn't scale loots with difficulty, correct?
Yes, it is scaling with you as far as I can tell. Curiously I seem to be getting more gold (haven't specd anything in there) and of course weapons are often better. However I know for certain it's random because I've been talking to a friend while we play quite often, and out of some incredibly random chance we ended up in the same dungeon fighting the same boss (didn't tell each other where we were ) at the same time. They were a bit higher level and got through it easier and quicker, so they got the loot at the end and apparently it was really nice while mine was mostly useless to me.
I started a new character about six hours ago or so, played until Lvl 11 and I had no crashes. Then I got in some cave, crashes galore, load back in, crash, restart system, go back in, crash again. I swear some places just ask for them. I could play hours outdoor, then oh, I enter some basement somewhere and back to the desktop in no time. It pisses me off. I never completed Oblivion for that reason (too many CTDs), and I didn't bother finishing Fallout 3 because of that too (saw the ending on YouTube).
I think I'll take a break from Skyrim, a few days will do me good. I'll go back on my Witcher game in progress.

Same thing happened to me, was it in <something> Pass where there was a lot of snow/wind in it?I started a new character about six hours ago or so, played until Lvl 11 and I had no crashes. Its funny because some people have issues, and others don't. All the people I've talked to only have crashes like Zenoth is talking about because their CPU or VidCards were overclocked just a tad too much.
I have some rediculous 30 hrs or so of gameplay now after this weekend, I had 1 singular crash because my VidCard was OC'd to high for this game, which happened within my first 10 hrs of play. I dialed it back a bit and have had zero issues.
Zenoth, you should check your OC settings if you have overclocked, what is perfectly fine on every other game causes issues on this one. Also make sure you have the latest drives, which should obviously go without saying.
I've heard of a few random crashes, but nothing like that
Any chance we can get a list of recommended MODs that are vetted and known to be either excellent or beneficial? Something that would include, for instance, that Large Address mod for higher than 2GB of RAM? Something like this seems pretty slam dunk to me as most folks populating this forum probably well exceed that and would benefit greatly.
Looking for something like a Anandtech Forum Recommended Skyrim Build list or something like that. Stickied to the first page of this thread and updated as required?

I am using the large address space "mod." I have confirmed that both my GTX460s (1GB each in SLI) are maxed on memory when playing.
Oh, that MOD is only for video card RAM? If so, I just learned something new today.
Could somebody help me out w\ one annoyance I have? When selecting magic... it automatically puts spells to L. It doesn't let you simply left click or right click to determine which hand you want the magic to be on.
Sometimes I want to use 2 different spells but for some reason Flames defaults to the right hand and it won't let me de-select it like I can with an equipped weapon. Is there any way to unequip magic?
