Loving this game...

Playing an Archer/Sneak/Thief build. I maxxed out Archery and think that the last perk in the skill tree is pretty cool (the paralyze thing...).

I've had a couple of CTD's, although being a veteran of Morrowind, Oblivion, FO3, and FONV I'm used to quicksaving every few minutes to minimize the negative impact. Not really sure what this says about Bethesda, but I overlook it for the most part, because otherwise the games are just so damn sweet.

What's killing me is the broken quests. Most of them are the typical "I already did this quest, but the bartender in town said 'Talk to So-and-So'" after the fact, so the quest just sits in the journal, no biggie. One of them is *really* bugging me though. Hopefully a mod comes out to reset or delete side quests. I think there was something like that for Oblivion if I remember correctly...here's to hoping anyway.

Or maybe that wasn't there when you downloaded the drivers? At any rate this is actually important as I've been using RadeonPro to disable Xfire and it's nice to have drivers that do it for me without having to run a 3rd party tool.

I'm not sure what was wrong, but the "Ranger" perk, for archery, seems to be working as expected now. Maybe newly purchased perks don't activate the instant you purchase them.

yeah, i've had a quest to heal a guys injuries since about hour 3 of playing. I really was gonna heal him but got confused on left or right mouse button and killed him with fire. Rather than failing the mission, now at 45 hours it still shows up in misc quests

For lesser/petty souls you can give your companion empty soul gems and a soul trap enchanted weapon. They'll fill them up pretty quickly. You just have to remember to recharge their weapon from time to time. For higher quality souls I use the actual soul trap spell. It's effective for 60 seconds so just cast it when you have a chance then finish them off.

Easiest way to get grand souls, grab every black soul gem that you can find (usually found in necromancer dungeons). Any human enemy, even a lowly bandit, will give you a grand soul, but they can only be stored in black gems.

Anything upwards of an HD 6870/GTX560 will set you up well for high settings with some nice AA.

The difference between high and ultra doesn't seem worth it anyway. I can't play at ultra right now but when I turn it up to that and watch the slide show it's not "OMFG I wish this was smooth so I could play like this" or anything. It's a very subtle difference. Some of the ini file changes make much more of a change and affect performance less actually.
