Skyrim Nexus is the hub for the modding community. If you just want to read stuff, I would check out one of the wikis.

Yeah unfortunately it takes a long time before each guy will give you his specific quest. I think I did at least 4-5 stupid quests for each before I got what I was after. Keep in mind that lycanthropy makes you 100% resistant to disease and allows you to sprint endlessly while transformed (no stamina loss), both of which are actually pretty useful, in case you end up being uncurable and have to make the best of it on this play through? To be honest, my biggest gripe is that I have to re-equip everything after it wears off.

I can't wait for an equipment manager to come out after they release the CK! One click for combat outfit, one click for smithing, alchmey, bartering, whatever. It pains me to admit that WoW built this in as a default feature long before Bethesda figured it out...we don't even get a paper doll!

That same quest line is the one that's broken for me too, although not in the same spot.

I bring the hags heads back to the Companion House, the Silver Hand has attacked our base and homeboy is dead, but all the NPC's just sit around and none of them give me a new quest. So now I'm a werewolf forever, and it wont let me drop the hags heads...those things are heavy dammit!!!

Looking around the net I see I'm not the only one to be bugged at the same spot. :\

Everything you get that has an ability just destroy, and then enchant items with abilities that you might not care about before you sell them. It isn't too long before your enchanting goes up. I think I finally got to 50 and I'm a Level 30 character

Damn dudes...

I lost 2 hours of gameplay last night -- I blame the patch!!!

Like others I have had no problems running Skyrim. I am level 41 now and I do take my dear sweet time - so that means alot of playtime! And in that time the crashes have been few and far between. In fact there's one type of crash that happens to me - the game just suddenly quits to desktop in a flash. Maybe happened 3 times until last night.

Then last night Steam goes and updates my game - great I thought, some quest issues fixed? I start playing and hit CONTINUE - it sits on the loading screen forever. Just cycling new helpful tips. So I End Task, and restart. Again same shit. So I end task, restart and load an autosave just prior to my last save. This one works. Ok cool, I play and then I get another loading freeze issue switching from an outdoor cell to indoor cell. Anyway this happens several times where I have to End Task and restart, but at least on the subsequent times I was able to hit CONTINUE and play on without fussing with older saves.

The last time I did this though and try to restart, I see Steam throws some crazy error and then it starts to automatically update itself. Umm, ok. It goes pretty quick and then I start the game. Seems fine, phew. I hit CONTINUE and I load up to a point where I was 2 hours ago. Just before I crawled 2 dungeons, discovered the town of Markoth (or however you spell the swamp town) and talked to everyone in it. I'm like WTF???

I quit and try manually loading my last saves, but I dont see them! All my autosaves, quicksaves and manual saves for the past 2 hours are just gone! poof! vanish! abracadabra! how the hell could that happen?

How in God's name could the select savegames from the past 2 hours (up to my last crash) be all gone, leaving the rest of my save games in tact?

Man, imagine ALL my saves were gone!

This new mod is super useful if you want to reset some of your perks without spending an hour in the console. Also helps plan out where you're headed and how many levels you'll need to get there.

There are lots of guides online if you google, but basically, my method was to put soul trap (1 sec) on my bow, grab (buy, steal, or loot) lots of soul shards (petty works just as well as grand for lvling enchanting in my experience, even though the gear you make will be less valuable), fill em up by sniping creatures around Whiterun (everything from Rabbits to bears and trolls), then enchant everything I looted/crafted before I sold it to vendors. You can level smithing at the same time if you make lots of leather goods or daggers, and then enchant them all before selling them to the vendors.

Note: I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're already relatively high level, since you'll level up too fast, and your main combat skills will be gimped by comparison.

NOW you tell me...

I am about maxed out smithing and have upped enchanting and alchemy significantly, but my combat skills are still level 40-60 (my character is 35-ish). I am seriously starting to have a lot of trouble with blood dragons and those undead scourge/whatevers. The latter come in groups of 3 to 4 now, and I've resorted to leading them into traps to kill a few off or soften them up. Meanwhile, my follower got lost a few tunnels back.

Skyrim seriously needs to fix the follower pathfinding, movement and catch-up routine. He/she rarely, if ever, went missing in Fallout Vegas because they kept respawning beside you if they fell too far behind - great functional cheat.

Enchanting is easy-peasy to level. Just go smith 20 iron daggers from buying ingots and making leather strips at the smithy, then run to your nearest enchanter and put something useless on them. You accumulate quite a few soul gems if you clear out some dungeons. Oh, and enchant your main weapon with a 1-3 second soul trap.

Someone posted a video a few pages back that I found helpful.
Well if you have enchanting and smithing up you should be able to enchant some Hide Armor pieces and a necklace and ring with a bonus to Smithing (I can do 26% right now with the right potion), then get a Smithing potion (if you can't make one the best I've found is +40%), then go improve your weapons and armor. Now enchant the armor with something like "Improve one handed" and enchant a new ring and necklace with the same. Currently I have I think 4 pieces enchanted with improve one handed (between 37% and 43%) and two pieces enchanted with improve Destruction. I can wade in and waste Draugr Scourges and I've even taken on two Draugr Deathlords at once and come out on top. And blood dragons haven't become a problem yet. I think I'm level 36 currently. 100 Smithing, 90 Enchanting. Both my One Handed and Destruction are below 60 still I believe.

Think I found the fix for my random CTDs,I put my Ultra settings of 8xAA down to 4xAA and so far no crashes, played 2.5 hours lastnight with 0 crashes and 90 mins today and again no crashes.

The sound solution one for fixing random crashes did not work which I tried first.

Anyway happy gamer now,I wonder if its a Nvidia driver issue or Skyrim game issue ,anyway I'm hoping 4xAA setting holds out for zero crashes .

So last night I was finishing the College of Winterhold chain. Spoilers to follow...
I returned to Winterhold just after dark (can't fast travel to the college because Ancano--another detestable Thalmor, go figure--has it locked down). The arrow on the map tells me I'm supposed to go talk to Tolfdir on the bridge just before you get to the college itself. I arrive on the bridge, and there are TWO dragons circling overhead. All of the NPCs are fighting said dragons, so I can't talk to Tolfdir to get to the next phase of the quest (using the Staff of Magus on Ancano's protective sphere). To state the painfully obvious, it's not easy fighting two dragons (elder and frost) on a 3-foot-wide bridge with no railings, while three NPCs are running all over, alternating between trying to fight and escape. I tried to kite back to the town, but they wouldn't follow even after killing the NPCs. After several reloads, I managed to kill both dragons with magic+arrows, only to find that Tolfidr had fallen off the bridge at some point and died. Not surprisingly, the game wouldn't let me turn in the quest to his corpse. I reloaded to an earlier save, from before my fast travel to Winterhold, only to find two more dragons waiting for me, but not the same two as before! This time I got Elder and Blood. After about an hour of reloading due to my own death and/or Tolfdir's, I finally killed both dragons and managed to keep him alive, and successfully finished the quest. Anyone else have this happen (two dragons) when turning in the Staff of Magus quest? If this is working as intended, they make it awful hard to become archmage!

Here's something really interesting - Jesse from Finland has uncovered that the entire Tamriel Landmass has been built into Skyrim.

http://ppsh-41.tumblr.com/post/13145143504/entire-tamriel-landmass-built-into-skyrim

Wonder if this could mean future DLC will open up those areas - like Morrowind?

It could, which would be awesome. If you can't wait, this mod will let you see it all now, but you may need to console "tcl" to avoid falling through nonexistent ground.

Or, if you prefer not to download the mod, you can change "bBorderRegionsEnabled=1" to "0" in skyrimprefs.ini.

Interesting... I do hope they put as much effort on supporting Skyrim with post-release content as they did with Fallout 3. Oblivion had pretty lousy post-release content. Shivering Islands MEH !
