All McDonalds will be offering mobile ordering by the end of the year:

http://www.delish.com/food-news/a46574/mcdonalds-mobile-ordering/

No waiting (the busy locations can take awhile for drive-thru, so this is a nice feature); also includes check-in so your food is served hot (or cold).

I order a lot of my take-out now via iPhone apps simply because I can order on the road, walk in, pick it up, and leave without waiting. Nice to see more places adopting this! BK, Taco Bell, Arby's, Wendy's, and Chick-fil-A are also testing similar systems.

BK Fruit Loops shake:

http://www.bk.com/menu-item/froot-loops-shake

Okay to be honest, I don't know what I was expecting. Yes, this tastes exactly like Fruit Loops in milk. Frozen. Slightly more sugary (well...). They nailed it. I give them a 10/10 for that. Unlike Twinkie Ice Cream, this isn't a crappy homage to the original, it's exactly the same thing. It literally tastes like a cereal bowl full of Froot Loops, in milk. If that is what you are looking for, that is what you will get. It will even scratch the roof of your mouth, just like the cereal does!

Now, would I buy it again? Mmm, no. Once was enough for me. Again, not that it's bad, but...it's just that it's exactly as advertised. If you love fruit loops cereal, then this is the drink for you. Personally, I'm a chocolate Shamrock shake guy myself, if I'm going for a fast-food milkshake (too bad it's seasonal, boo-hoo). As far as nutrition goes, I was unable to find the ingredients list, which is odd since BK usually provides that stuff, but while the calories & carbs are pretty high, it does have a decent amount of protein & a surprisingly low amount of fat (for the content).

Macros:

720 calories
16g protein
126g carbs
17g fat

I really don't know about this. I like Froot Loops, but... I guess I'll have to give it a try the next time I'm at BK.

Why do I feel as though I might go into diabetic shock?

You definitely feel like you need a salad after you finish it lol.

I mean, it's not bad, but you get exactly what you pay for: it is absolutely a Froot Loops milkshake

welcome to the very fucking wonderful world that is shake shack and all it embodies

oh snap, there are 3 shake shacks in DT DC...closest one being Union Station. I will have to try this out soon. ...but will avoid Union Station. The Union Station version of these joints are all terrible.

Most Americans would absolutely freak out if they had to eat real Chinese. Imagine Americans eating spicy organ and other undesired cuts of meat or seafood. Some Szechuan dishes are so hot that most Chinese can't even eat it.
I used to have a boss who absolutely loved spicy food, and also loved Chinese food. He was as white as white gets (Wisconsin native) but took a vacation through China one year. One of his first nights there, he went to a restaurant and ordered a spicy dish. He told the waiter it wasn't spicy enough, he wanted the REAL Chinese experience. He said it went down fine, but the next morning it burned so bad on the way back out he had to keep splashing water on his butthole.

everyone I talked to has said the Unicorn frappe made for instagram only, and not for actual drinking.

Yeah, the ingredients are pretty much flavored sugar.

(I don't plan on buying it)

Thanks to Shake Shack, I have successfully replaced 1 meal a week with chicken. I have discovered that adding some vinegary hot sauce which SS also supplies takes this sandwich from 10/10 to 10.5/10.

i could get this but the only location is inside the mall... ugh.

Surely amongst your array of kitchen devices there's a good way to smash up a Twix and mix it into a McFlurry?
they use twix balls not the actual sticks lol. I pref the sticks though but mcdonalds have the ball versions.

dude you will love it. the beef just has this flavor that is unlike any other fast food burger. just get a double shackburger with fries and call it a day. I've tried every burger joint from In n Out to Whataburger and Shake Shack destroys. Carl's Junior, Whataburger, Smashburger, Jack in the Box, Johnny Rockets, McD's, Burger King, Wendy's, Sonic, Burger King, Red Robin, Five Guys, you name it I've probably had it.

Hmm, I have seen Twix Bites for sale in snack bags...might be worth a shot. btw if you have ever wondered why McFlurries have the weird spoon, it's because it's part of a 3-step process:

1. Add soft-serve ice cream to cup
2. Add topping to cup (pre-measured via swing-arm action from a vertical dispenser)
3. Insert spoon into cup & attach spoon to mixer...the mixing machine uses your spoon as the stirring device

haha at first i thought the massive hole between the spoon is for sucking out the ice cream I tried it and then I realise the end of the spoon is not a full circumference. I felt so stupid that day lol.

Del Taco bacon/cheese breakfast burrito - $3.50 or so. pretty damn good for a fast food breakfast burrito; these might be going on my regular rotation!

yesterday - Jersey Mike's #13, Mike's Way + Mayo - so goddamn satisfying every single time.

I like Del Taco. 99¢ for their chicken tacos is killer and they are really good especially with inferno sauce.

Only been to Jason's Deli a couple of times for their Muffuletta (see pic), but this may very well be my new fave fast food joint.

This is a half-order!
