Sure, just any part of the chicken that doesn't have a catchy name like "breast", "wing", or "thigh".

When people talk mention best Texas BBQ, Franklin Barbecue and Snow's are the two most often mentioned. La Barbecue was often mentioned as well but John Lewis left to Charleston, South Carolina to open up his own restaurant so the quality might have slipped. John Lewis was Franklin's pitmaster so he knows all of Franklin's tricks.

You might be the only one who prefers Salt Lick brisket over Franklin. Like I mentioned, Salt Lick doesn't have good reputation among BBQ enthusiasts.

Here are the top 50 BBQ joints in Texas rated by TexasMonthly. https://www.texasmonthly.com/food/the-list-the-top-50-barbecue-joints-in-texas/

Save your time with all the Texas Q joints and go to Pappy’s Smokehouse in STL instead. #1 ribs in the nation.

I would never pay to eat ribs at a restaurant. I can cook perfect ribs in my sleep and I'll put my home smoked ribs with the best of them. There's not a single BBQ joint in GA where I had ribs that were better than what I make at home. The only reason I want to try Texas Q is to try the legendary brisket. I want to taste the best so I can compare to my home brisket and see how and where I need to improve. I want to see how high the bar is.

Good japanese ramen can be fast food to me. If I go to a good place at an off-time i can get my bowl of high quality ramen in just a few minutes. That's faster than a Wendy's drive-thru at many times of day.

Had McDonalds quarter pounder with fresh beef. It is better than their frozen stuff, but it's still a McDonalds hamburger, haha. And their awful-tasting ketchup

Also recently tried the Sourdough King from BK. Think Whopper on sourdough bread with special sauce. It was oddly sweet. Not like super sweet, but the sourdough had some sweetness to it, as did the sauce. It was an interesting idea, but I don't think I'd ever get it again, at least not from BK. For regular burgers, I'm usually pretty happy with a potato bun or maybe a brioche bun.

I feel like it wasn't as good as the sourdough burger they had 10-15 years ago. Not that the old one was stellar.

Agreed. I had one today and it was slightly sweet and very greasy. I'm not really a big fan of BK, but it's what's close.

Here’s a sandwich idea full of shame, regret and clogged arteries.

The KFC Skinwich.

Get an 8 piece bucket. Remove all the skins and put them between a bun with mayo.

Shame? Regret?

More like how the fuck didn't I think about this sooner?

Back when I had a food truck we were testing out a new special - a CLT. A crispy chicken skin, lettuce and tomato sandwich. I thought that was genius.

Crunchy Raspberry M&M's:

0/10 will never buy again. Ugh.

Smells & tastes like chemicals. Same as the strawberry Oreos. Just nasty.

7-11 brand "Smoked Gouda" potato chips:

15 out of 10 points...holy crap, these are amazing! If you like gouda cheese, go buy some. Freaking delicious! And unlike say cheese Doritos, the flavor doesn't wear off after 3 chips.

7-11 has been putting out some solid stuff lately. Their in-house Hostess-style cupcakes are much better than the actual Hostess brand ones (minus the banana-flavored ones, those are beyond awful lol). They have a macadamia-nut popcorn that is pretty dang decent as well. They also have Turbochef ovens in their stores now for cool products like Pillsbury waffle sandwiches (egg/sausage/cheese-stuffed), they sell Soylent, etc. They're kind of turning into my go-to snack shop for trying random new stuff every month.

McDonald's Bacon Smokehouse Burger

I can honestly say this is the best burger McDonald's has ever come out with, by far. They've been making strides with their artisan sandwiches (nice idea, not a big fan tho) and their freshly-cooked beef patties (good, but the overly-soft bun ruins in), but it actually came together this time! It was so decent that I had to stop at another McDonalds & get another one just to confirm it wasn't a fluke.

Ingredients:

1/4-pound beef patty
Artisan roll
Bacon onion sauce
Thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon
Fried onion strings
Sharp white cheddar cheese
Sweet mustard sauce
Grill seasoning

It's available in 4 configurations:

1. 1/4-pound beef patty
2. Double 1/4-pound beef patties
3. Buttermilk crispy chicken
4. Grilled chicken

I've only had it in the 1/4-pounder beef patty setup (840 calories, 46g protein, 62g carbs, 45g fat). I think the sweet mustard sauce is what makes it, although the combination of the bacon onion sauce may be the ticket too. It's well-balanced, flavor-wise, & it's actually good. And the bun doesn't fall apart as you eat it! (which annoys me on their other burgers, especially since the addition of freshly-cooked meat has made their burger offerings better overall). I'll have to try the double 1/4-pounder next time (1130 calories, 70g protein, 63g carb, 67g fat...two patties & an extra slice of cheese).
