They just built a Popeyes here, that is dang good fried chicken & sauces! Also their desserts are phenomenally good for a fast-food place...anytime I want a single slice of cheesecake, I just swing in there for their Mardi Gras slice-in-a-box.

Have you tried the Cajun Sparkle?

Steak & Shake or Culvers as far as best burger chains IMO

I love Popeyes, but had Bojangles down in SC when visiting a friend, Bojangles is great. Agree with Zin.

Krystal is the same as White Castle, which is best "weird" burger chain

Tillamook county smoker beef Jerkey is awesome.

Not a fan of popeyes. IMHO, they put too much spice on their chicken and its hot. I like culvers ok. My favorite places to eat fast food are goodcents and schlotzsky's. I like cold sammiches better than burgers and fries. I also like the gyros at arbys.

$20 for 10 legs/thighs...is that it, w/ no sides on top of that? Sounds crappy if so, compared to the Sardi's meal we picked up last week: $24 for whole chicken + 3 large sides + 6 sauces + 4 cans diabeetus drank/2 liter diabeetus drank

K, cheapest way for a whole chicken here is 2x half chicken specials, which would net you 1 whole chicken + 4 regular sides + tortillas for $24. Otherwise a 10 piece mix with 2 family sides and tortillas is $33. BYODiabeetus.

^awesome. 2x half chicken sounds like the way to go and pretty much what I picked up at the other place in terms of overall cost.

...I think I am going with beans and beans.

I ate at a In & Out Burger for the first time last week while on a trip to Vegas. From all of the hype ive heard about In & Out I was really disappointed. the only plus side is it was a cheap meal.
Yes, truly underwhelming. I tried it in Dallas once and found it to be a glorified McDonald's. Talk about disappointment. I don't plan to ever go back.

Steak 'n Shake use to be expensive now they are more affordable than McDonald's sometimes.

I do like me some White Castle.

The Whopperito is made with flame-grilled 100% beef and seasoned with a special blend of Tex-Mex spices. It is then stuffed with a creamy queso sauce, diced onions, juicy tomatoes, pickles and crisp lettuce all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

I really want to try that whopperito but with all my experience trying new food items at Burger King I highly doubt I'd be impressed.

But their croissant breakfast sandwiches are da bomb.

It's nothing more than a chopped up (literally, chopped up) Whopper (no bun) inside of a tortilla with some different sauce. Like I said in my review, it's not a standalone product like say combining peanut butter & jelly into a "PB&J" is, it's just a shredded Whopper in a wrap instead of a bun.

I think it's weird that they dropped the ball on this one. A Whopper-flavored burrito with ground beef literally would have been amazing. Same deal with their hot dogs...a Whopper-flavored hot dog would have been incredible because the Whopper has a great fast-food burger flavor, as well as a unique taste compared to other fast food places, and translating that into a hot dog would have been killer. But instead it just tastes like a microwaved hot dog you'd get in an 8-pack from the grocery store, nothing special.

I liked a lot of BK's experiments in 2000-2010. Damn near everything they've done since has sucked.
That BBQ pork sandwich they had a couple years ago was an exception, as were the cheesy tots.

I can't believe I've never done this.

Neither have I. And the sad thing is my company treated us to a smorgasbord of McD's for breakfast this morning which I could have tried this method for free.

Yeah, they're new to Saint Louis and every time I go in there the place is packed. This whole concept of seasoned food is novel here in the land of bland.

Land of the bland? You have St. Louis style ribs and Budweiser. What more could you want?
