the jack in the box grilled breakfast sandwich is now officially the best fast food breakfast sandwich. i have paid more for less.

I love their breakfast sandwiches. Used to get them every other day on my way in to work.

I used to get their sourdough breakfast Jack, and then somehow they decided to either remove it or stop buttering/griddling them. So I stopped...

And then I discovered the grilled breakfast sandwich...

Oreos has a new Nutella flavor (well, chocolate hazelnut). Yellow cookie, chocolate filling. But it's way better than the regular inside-out Oreo with the regular chocolate filling. These are dang good lol. Which is great, because a lot of the other 'unique' Oreo flavors are really awful haha. They kind of tastes like Dunkaroos, if you ever had those as a kid.

10/10 will buy another package of Chocolate Hazelnut Oreos.

Don’t know if it was mentioned already but Lupe’s Mexican has some really good burritos, their Oceanside was particularly good. It’s a small chain and only a handful of locations in SoCal (OC and south) but worth checking out.

Mac Jr is back at McD and awesome (well, as awesome as a burger from McD could be). Had the grand mac sans middle piece of bread last night, vastly prefer the Mac Jr.

Also, the new classic chicken sandwich for $3 is terrible and is not even playing the same game as the great southern chicken sandwich they had a few years back.

I wish they were crisper/crunchier its difficult to explain, if they were more like Jack In The Box curly fries = OMG.

My review of fast food chains:

McD/BK/Wendy's: I think they're so different that I actually crave them all in rotation. I don't think a single one is innately superior... although I think McD burgers are weaker while McD fries & nuggets compensate.

Tacobell: Meh

KFC:

I don't know where I was going with this because I actually crave them all and like them all. Popeyes, Grilled chicken japanese fried rice thingy, all burger joints, pizza etc.

How do JITB curlies compare to Arby's? Arby's curly fries + cheese sauce is my gold standard. I don't get them often because the greasiness has gone up significantly within the past few years.

Nacho Fries from Taco Bell:

Surprisingly good! The fries by themselves are actually pretty good; I was pleasantly surprised because I did not have high expectations for them. With the nacho cheese for dipping, they were weird, but not in a bad way. Became kind of addictive after eating a few of them. However, I'm not sure if I would ever buy them again for me personally. Like, they were actually quite good, but I don't think they're "my thing". Maybe having a non-spicy nacho cheese (like a plain cheese-only dipping sauce) might step it up for me.

BK Double Quarter Pound King:

Pass. This was disappointing. Whopper is 10x better. This effort was basically their value-menu burger, made worse somehow. It was a chore to eat this.

BK Twix Pie:

0/10. I was so disappointed that I had to go out & buy real Twix to make myself feel better. Everything about this was a "no". I couldn't finish it. Sad. Fake news.
