Gus is indeed delicious, but I spend $60 every time I'm there for a simple whole chicken and 12 wings. That's 30x $1.99 Popeye's Tuesday specials.

I tried Ginger Ale & Lemonade today. While it isn't mind-blowing, it is pretty good...very mellow & refreshing with ice. It takes the edge off the Ginger Ale, actually - tones it down.
We call it Spicy Lemonade, lol.
Not here in Missouri. People will write reviews online about how spicy the *regular* chicken at places is. Not only do they not like spice here, they actively dislike it and complain until restaurants stop using it. I went to a Louisiana themed restaurant and all I heard was complaining about how spicy everything was.

Had frog legs for the first time yesterday. They were good, but not amazing. I'd eat them if I got the frogs myself, but I don't think they're worth the expense out. Kinda sorta tastes like chicken. Kinda sorta tastes like fish. Glad I had the experience. My daughter got them. I wouldn't have bought them on my own.
this is like my in-n-out saga, in which it took me 5 tries to figure out how to order something that didn't suck there. still can't get the fries right, but double double, animal style, add chopped peppers, easy sauce is ok. not as easy as "number 2 with cheese" which is why whataburger is and always will be better than in-n-out.Revisited CfA again, for the 5th time, and finally had a good meal! The secret this time was actually dining in and better use of the free sauces. While my sandwich had a paltry 2 pickles on it, I was able to spread some garlic ranch and CfA sauce on the sandwich (instead of dipping the sandwich into CfA sauce like I had been doing previously) which improved the final product dramatically. Then I used some of that hot sauce to add some dimension to the sandwich, and also got the waffle fries well done.
The final product was something I'd happily eat again.
