like, totally, dude.
While I lived in an "awesome" part of the state for over ten years (Monterey), I was born and raised in the Central Valley. Places like Oroville, Los Banos, Gridley, Oakdale, Merced and Fresno. I did live in the Sierra for a number of years (Mariposa County). The majority of my life I've been in places that coastal Californians turn their collective noses up at (as witnessed in this thread).
Yeah, but you're not living east of the Coast Range, are you?
I was born in Paradise, btw.
Yes CA is great and all (from a native) but the whole California attitude precludes us from rubbing it in peoples' faces.
With a view like this why would I want to live anywhere else?
Isn't view that from some hotel across the way?

Hey, Craig, hope all's well.Native Californian.
He did say for non-Californians to stay away from the thread
Original poster is correct about CA.
One thing I'll say is it's kind of amazing how few Californians seem to be natives.
All y'all haters... Oregon rules!!
Portland resident here.
I was there last week, and you know what I saw out of my hotel room? An empty lot, some sort of power plant, a few freeways, and RAIN. RAIN! Meh.I stayed in the Marriot on the river, and checked out downtown. Superb!

California >>>>>>>>>> Oregon. Go make your own Oregon thread
The rain has arrived here!
