Nope, if I did I probably wouldn't be waiting to buy a Core 2. And really, what 90% of people plan to do or whether there's a preference for OEM vs. retail has no bearing on the fact that the launch of retail models was announced, and there aren't any. Do you work for Intel, or just like to complain when you see other people complaining?
No Core 2 Duos? ZipZoomFly has the E6300 and E6400, Clubit has the E6600 and NewEgg had the E6700 and has the X6800. They are late and pricey which makes for a crapy launch but far from a paper launch.
