Wash hands before and after, tilt head back slightly, pull down lower lid to form pouch, instill one drop into affected eyes, do not touch dropper to eye, close eye and keep closed for at least a minute to allow the drop to be absorbed (blinking will wash drop away)
Use 48 hrs past clear, contagious 24-48 hrs after using abx eye ointment
SE: Blurry vision (10-15min), mile burning & stinging
SeriousSE: Swelling/stinging not there before may be rxn to abx or preservative-Call MD
Discard contacts/eye makeup. Do not save drops for future use.
Reduce spread of infxn: hand wash, ? contact w/ others, ? pillowcase & washclothes
