You know the beta comes next month and it on all consoles. This is really a demo that they called a first look alpha because it is far too polished to be called Alpha. I've played some alpha games in the past and they weren't close to feeling as done as Destiny is now.

I'm pretty sure they will launch the beta on the same date for all consoles. A video review I watched with one of the producers mentioned the alpha is pretty much only for ps4 but beta access would be available for the rest starting in July. Seeing as the game is out in September for all systems, I don't see why the beta would be later for Xbox.
I played a warlock to 8 and started a Titan and took him to 7. I like the warlock significantly more.
I like the Titan's melee as well. When I'm reloading it's saved me a few times to punch an enemy and send them flying and watch them get vaporized.
Is it similar to the warlock melee? He seems to do the same except he sends a shockwave that sends them flying and vaporized. I do like the hunter's throwing knife it's saved me a few times.
No I didn't say it is Halo, it is close enough, because it is a Sci-Fi, FPS, and from Bungie and has the same art direction, that they should have been able to produce it under the Halo Franchise instead spending 1.5 Billion to separate MS and develop this game. No launching a game, that yeah true gamers will know is Bungie, but is now it's own Franchise.Yet because it's from Bungie, is an FPS, and has a sci-fi setting...it's Halo.
I am not saying Destiny isn't good in it's own right, but it looks (and I am assuming feels) a lot like Halo. Everyone going in is going to have that perception. When they first showed gameplay footage, it was literally Halo with loot.
They can add in all kinds of RPG features, but at it's core, it is going to be very similar to Halo. And, I don't think that is a bad thing. An mmo FPS with the same feel (gameplay wise) as Halo, made by the original Halo makers is a good thing, IMO.
God I think your reading way to much into what I am saying. I am not hating on the game either. I just think it's puts a lot of undue stress on Bungie for something that could have been done in the Halo universe.So when nearly everyone who was able to play it enjoyed it, even people who didn't care before...you still have doubts. OK...whatever. There are people who are buying a ps4(because there is a bundle) just for this game.
The game is fine...I liked the alpha test more than any halo game in the past and no...it is not halo...it isn't close to halo.
Halo didn't have an online connected world, loot, skills to upgrade, classes to pick, weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, and halo never had the ability to aim down the sights.
So yeah it is "close enough to halo" only to people who don't pay attention and think any game that bungie makes that has a sci fi theme and is an fps is a halo clone. By that logic then Halo was a copy of Marathon which was a sci fi fps game from bungie. That game just happened to be the first fps ever to feature true mouse aim. Bungie is fine, Destiny is excellent, the game will sell well and you sound like are just mad because bungie doesn't work for MS and Halo 4 was the worst halo game released because bungie didn't make it.
Keep in hating if it makes you feel cool.
Than I think It should be understandable that for the first time in 13 years, after paying nearly a billion dollars to separate themselves from MS and the Halo franchise, considering that that in-between Marathon and Halo they also made Myth and Oni two vastly different types of games, that some people could be disappointed.
Oh, man... I forgot that Bungie made Oni. I don't recall caring for the ending, but I really enjoyed that game!
Like I said before. I believe this is the game Bungie wanted to make...MS just wanted more Halo. So they had to split.
FC4 looks awesome, will definitely be buying it later this year.
Eh, nothing against it (Destiny) but it looks like Borderlands (sans the art direction) to me and I just can't get into Borderlands.
Weird. Must have been the art style and humor that set you off, because gameplay wise it feels very similar to BL.I haaaaated borderlands. Absolutely despised it. OTOH I loved destiny beta after not expecting to enjoy it. Went from 3/10 meh to 9.5/10 can't wait day zero buy.
