The Official E3 2014 thread

I predict that everybody hates Microsoft's conference because a lot of it has been leaked already and nobody will be surprised, Sony's conference will announce and show a bunch of their already in-place franchises with an announced sequel and no release window, and Nintendo's conference may announce one big game that everybody talks about but the rest of their conference goes completely unnoticed.

Maybe but I expect to see some more info about a few titles I'm following. Stuff like the PS4 release of Diablo 3, More on Destiny (beta and release date). I'm actually more interested in 3rd party titles overall at the moment. At least until I see if there is anything new that we haven't seen or heard about.

I'm also interested to see the progress on Assassin's Creed Unity and the engine for it. It will be the first AC game to not be on last gen systems. Not to mention any more info on the Halo collection for XB1. I'd like to see how they redid the games for the new console.

Not sure if getting older or just still not enthusiastic about the new consoles. Can't believe E3 is already here again. I have like zero Hype. Only thing I really care to see is Halo Trilogy. Xbone needs something worth turning on for. Mario Kart revived interest in Wii U, and PS4 is still Netflix overlord.

For long-time fans, that makes sense. However, there is a likely-huge base of 360 owners who missed Halo and Halo 2 I know that my brother-in-law first got into the series at Reach, with 4 being the only other he's ever played (did a little of the first Anniversary, but only 2-3 levels). My little brothers have ONLY played Halo 3, and that was because of Games with Gold.

Heck, I'm a HUGE, long-time Halo fan, and I'd love this because I never beat the Halo 2 campaign fully (sucked into the multiplayer as a teen). Getting to go through the whole thing again (and get my brother-in-law in on it, along with my little brothers) would be nice, as well as getting the second game beaten. My only complaint is that Reach (arguably the best campaign) isn't present.

That last one could literally be the only thing announced at E3, and it'd be worth watching streams for 17 hours with only Justin Bieber surrounding the announcement. I want the Kingdom Hearts franchise as a whole on the One SO BADLY. I'll seriously take 17 hours of Justin Bieber to get it, if that's the cost.

I'm all in for the Halo collection. I loved Halo 1 and 2 quite a bit, so I am looking forward to revisiting those. But did not play any of the subsequent offerings (I was more into PC gaming at that time), so 3 and 4 will be like new games to me.

I found Halo 3's campaign to be a disappointment at the end. The last level's really redundant. Halo 4 was really good until the very end of the last level as well. The ending didn't go as I'd expect (won't mention anything else for fear of ruining it).

Still, if you can get a chance to play Reach do it. It really is a great story.

I've always streamed them from gaming websites on my phone, have worked fine every time
