I dunno why the Biden Cult gets so mad when you point out that how he is deteriorating in front of our very eyes. The shuffling gait, glazed over eyes, stiff movements, etc. If you saw a random elderly gentleman like this out in public, what would your initial thoughts be? I hope his family comes and gets him vs oh man I just hope he can be President?

And of course this doesn't excuse Trump's own decline. It just highlights how both are unqualified. But the whataboutism of Trump as a defense for Biden is crazy.

"cult"?

do you know what that word means?

Apparently it doesn’t mean disregarding reality in favor of conspiracies. Nor does it mean idolizing a politician by wearing his campaign paraphernalia all year round, even when there isn’t an election. Apparently it doesn’t mean someone who flies a flag at home and on their truck with their favored politicians name on it. It certainly doesn’t appear to include the act of turning against anyone who is critical of their dear leader. Also acts of sucking up to the dessert leader after he’s criticized you, your wife, your weight, apparently don’t qualify as cult behavior.

No instead, cult behavior seems to be anyone who fact checks claims against other politicians.

We live in a world where a good portion of the country lives in an alternative reality so it’s not really a surprise that he thinks that way.

I know a lot of people who will vote for Biden, and I'd say exactly none of them prop him up as a cultish leader, nor are they "excited" by him.

I know a lot more people who will vote for Trump, and I'd say a large chunk of them hold him up just like some sports stars or celebrities are held up, they can do no wrong nor is anything ever their fault--it's others being unfair. And sure there are the more quiet Trump supporters, who still don't want to be seen as racist or greedy or whatever their reason for voting GOP is.

All the people I know who will vote Biden are like I am in every single election: he's the last bad option. Simple. If there was a better option available that has a chance of winning, I'd vote that way. Again, simple.

And to be clear, being 'excited' by a politician to me says you have issues. These aren't heroes we are electing, they are administrators.

If people want to lament that Biden is the Democratic choice, well I guess you might as well sit around crying about how your team lost the 2017 super bowl or the fact that you ate a whole bag of cookies last week. It's done. Move on and forward, or sit and cry, I guess that's the choice.

Humans want religion, not science. In the absence of a belief system, they will simply make up a new one. That is where MAGA fits in.

You do not need facts when you have feels.
Humans want religion and not science, yet humans have continually, for thousands of years (and sometimes at their personal peril), moved science forward because religion is ultimately not a satisfying answer. Humans love what science provides for us, religion is there for people that are driven by fear and uncertainty, that is where MAGA fits in.

I push Biden all the time out here in three dimensional land. But while I think he is miles ahead of trump in mental acuity, he does look like shit physically.

You may be right but so did Stephan Hawking and FDR
Again what is the point? There are always exceptions to rules and right now we are in a reality where Biden's age is a big issue because he looks so frail physically. Admit it, if a voter says it agree with them, but also say he is doing well mentally, while Trump is rambling and freezing up, and he has gotten stuff done as president as well, Biden is fine, he just looks old.

FDR was a polio survivor in a wheelchair. And was one of our greatest presidents of the 20th century. Appearances have fuck all to do with performance.
I'm not talking about performance, I'm talking about getting elected.

Appearances do have nothing to do with performance and Biden’s performance has been absolutely top notch. That being said while appearances don’t matter for governing they do matter for winning elections, however dumb that is.

I think Biden’s age is a liability, although far less of one than most people think. Like, the leadership of almost every western country that was in power during that worldwide burst of inflation took a major hit to their approval ratings. Trudeau is way behind right now for example, is he too old?

lol it’s because of Maple MAGA. Not sure why Canadians can’t see what Smith is doing in Alberta is straight out of the Repugnican playbook. And Poilievre isn’t even looking to distance himself from the extreme views.

Except you're not. Everyone that continued to help push Biden through a second time is sleep walking us into disaster. Yes that includes the primary voters, in case anyone rebuttals with "but Democrats want Biden!"
Finally, your magat concern trolling is out. Embrace your bulgiest diaper load loser self you feckless magat. We all know you are voting for trump. You fool no one loser. You are a loser, the big loser. Again, you fool no one. Pathetic snowflakes you magats are. Wahhhhh. Biden at 10% is 100% better than fascist, criminal convict, rapist, racist, immoral liar insurrectionist Trump you pathetic loser.

A vote for Biden is a vote for still being a Republic. A vote for Trump is a vote for a Christo-fascist country where camps are started.

Thousands? Must be a rather low bar you set for that.

Our use of science peaked when journalism died. There is no filter over widespread bull!@#$. No more checks and balances over the ideas we put into people's heads. The mere concept of a "fake news" should send shivers down the spines of any who call a Democracy home. For a Democracy WILL NOT persist under such conditions. Neither will science and reason. Look no further than our response to COVID. That is but a taste of the horrors our people will unleash in their dogmatic zeal.

A low bar? Let me help you, guy.

The history of science spans the majority of the historical record, with the earliest written records of identifiable predecessors to modern science dating to Bronze Age Egypt and Mesopotamia from around 3000 to 1200 BCE. Their contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and medicine entered and shaped the Greek natural philosophy of classical antiquity, whereby formal attempts were made to provide explanations of events in the physical world based on natural causes, while further advancements, including the introduction of the Hindu–Arabic numeral system, were made during the Golden Age of India.

Again, he's using what they actually are and accusing Biden and the Democrats of it. I guess the Republicans are running low on fresh insults and bullcrap to fling at the Democrats.

Getting revenge and retribution in single-minded fashion against Trump's enemies while not doing the jobs they were actually elected for...well except for Marge Greene because she's doing a really good job as Trump's yapping attack hyena snapping and nipping at the Democrats, obstructing the processes of governing. I guess she must be making those folks that voted for her swell with pride.

Just imagine that thousands upon thousands of Georgians like what she's doing to the nation, being a smug foul mouthed bully, goading Trump's enemies into having an argument that would bring attention to herself.

Thanks for the heads up. Turns out both pcgeek's have contributed the same amount of quality posts to this forum, what a coincidence.
