Nothing, the invite link just showed up today... it gave me 5. I think some get more, some less... not sure if it's based on usage or not.

My friend had Gmail for 12 days and never got a single invite. He wrote to gmail support and they ended up giving him 6 invites somehow.

I assume it'll be prominently displayed somewhere if you do have any invites. If you don't see it, you probably don't have any.

A link will appear below the 'Search Mail' and 'Search the Web' buttons so I have read. I am sure someone that has received them can add more info.
