Kind of wierd, friend here at work went to https://www.google.com/accounts/Login and got an account. A Gmail account that is. I tried it, to get another, but didn't work for me. So seems they randomly select people too? That may have already been stated, but I wasn't about to read through all 3200 posts to check....

This is a signup for a GOOGLE account - doesn't specify whether it will give you gmail, but maybe worth it?

Here is the error message I recieved -
"You cannot log into Gmail using your Google Account username and password.
-Gmail is in a limited test period and is only available to a small number of people who are helping test and improve the service before it is made more widely available.
-If you have been asked to test Gmail and have not yet created a Gmail account, please click on the invitation link.
-If you have been asked to test Gmail and have already created a Gmail account, please try to log in again using your Gmail username and password"

And it seems others are getting the same message.......
and BTW nice way to welcome a new member that was just trying to pass some info along

I know this, she signed up there, AND ENDED UP WITH A GMAIL ACCOUNT TOO. Again, as stated, I tried it as did a couple other people in my office, and we weren't as lucky.

And FYI the original post was in reply to a post that supplied a google account link and stated that gmail was now open to the public.... which may have stopped some posters from sharing their invites

has anybody else notice that the gmail wont allow you to send a message to multiple people from your contact list?

I was wondering what was up, so i emailed tech support 5 days ago. I just got this responce:

While Gmail does not currently support the functionality to add multiple

I appears that they dont even plan to fix this. so we need to hit them with some emails explaining that it is required.

I was dissapointed to find that gmail was not setup to allow addressing of messages to multiple users via the contact list. Are there any plans to correct this situation? This is a feature that I, like many others, expect to see on any basic email service. Hopefully you'll be adding this simple feature in the near future.

I have 1 invite left to give. It goes out to the first person who quotes me who has left me Heat feedback in the past and who does not have any GMail accounts within their household as of yet (get an invite from whoever is in your household who already has an account within 36 hrs).
