Okay, I hesitate to say this in the forums as it will paint a picture of how desperately out of touch i am with current pc stuff beyond my own hardware, but nonetheless i must ask: What exactly is g-mail? Why is it desireable? If anyone who has a moment could pm me about it or suggest where I could go to learn about it i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Jon

i have done that... i think there is someone sitting somewhere choosing the numbers, messing with me. i swear.

I don't know about that, but I'm fairly convinced that the generated numbers are at least slightly based on what numbers you've chosen. I say this because I saw the same combinations come up a few different times, switched to one of those combinations, then saw different combinations come up repeatedly. And I tried roughly 300 times (gotta love dynamic IP addresses).

yeah, its probably closer to your theory than mine... either way though, it's starting to make me crazy...

My birthday is August 13th... and every so often it falls on a Friday such as this Friday. Friday the 13th's have always been associated with bad luck and horror movies.

If someone shared a GMail invite with me, they could perceptions so that Friday the 13th could become known as a good day and lots of luck.

Oh and I will be sure to return the favor and share future GMail invites to other AT'ers.

G-mail is still giving out invites. One at a time at least.
I'm an annoying lurker so went ahead and bought an address from Ebay, expecting no mercy here. To cut to the chase, I've got one invite. So I guess the best way to give it away is to the first pm who asks for it. That gives people like me a chance.

That's one of the great features of having a hotmail account. You don't even need to spend the time posting your address to receive insane amounts of spam.
