You jailbroke your 3G installed PDANET and tether it via USB to your PC?

I haven't even opened my 3G iPad, have been too busy

LOL, unboxed, activated & jailbroken, that was easy

Some great games that I've found:

Defender Chronicles - a tower defense game with a lot of depth and rpg elements
Trace (free) - a fun 'draw a way to the end' game. I was surprised it's free.
Implode! - a fun physics type game where you use dynamite to demolish buildings.
Angry birds - a must have, cute game.

Angry Birds is one of the most addicting games I've played in a long time, haha. You think it's dumb and you'll just play for like a minute or two, and two hours later you're still playing

Agreed. I just finished the Lite version earlier this week. Some of the levels are maddeningly frustrating to try and finish.

A few more to add to the list to check out:

Paper Toss
Traffic Rush

need to get my $$ worth out of the $30 a month.

now that you can put the microsim in a iphone (data only of course) that is an option too.

wonder how long they will let folks rock that? cheap to get a microsim - go to any store and tell them your ipad didn't come with one.

$30/month for a iphone 3gs data only isn't bad - maybe if you had a teenager that talks alot get them skype lol

Hi all, I am going to ask this question in this post but maybe it warrants its own thread? I am looking for a good conversion software to convert my avi, divx, etc movies to an iPad "format" i.e. without the black borders. Can anyone recommend anything they've tried?

I thought you could just double tap screen and iPad zooms image to remove black bars (crops sides)?

Black bars only come when the aspect ratio of the video you are playing is other than 4:3. Widescreen video will have bars (letterboxing) by default, but you can double tap or tap the expand video button for it to automatically crop and scale the video to fit the screen.

If you need to convert video for some other reason, I recommend using Handbrake. There are some presets you can download for iPad video, or you can set it yourself.

LOL, Atomic Browser is the first app I've actually paid for, it's a little buggy (won't allow me to post on vBullitin, WTF?) But it's going to seriously rock with a little polishing... Love the tabbed browsing.

just got atomic browser and the tabbed browsing rocks. pretty responsive browser too.

i had the same issue with not being able to post on vbulletin. you have to go to Settings and change 'Indentify Browser As' and set it to mobile safari -ipad or mobile safari - iphone. works great

After using iPad 3G extensively for the last month here's my short list of "best bang for the buck" apps:

Air Video
Atomic Browser
Good Reader

All three apps will cost you $5.00 total and will make your iPad a MUCH better device.

spirit
cydia
fullforce (force apps to run full ipad size)
3gunrestrictor (sinfuliphone) - apps will run over 3G (google sinful iphone repo, add it to cydia sources)
IFILE from sinfuliphone is nice - you can setup web mode and just browse the filsystem and down/upload anything you want. those 1.5GB IPA files take forever over 3G but fast over local WIFI.
of course add http://cydia.hackulo.us to sources and installous app will show up in their repo..

do whatcha want from there.

Hey all, i'm glad this thread is slowly gaining momentum, lotsa good app suggestions here. Here is one question for IT folks - What is the best remote desktop app available (AppStore or Applicious)? I am trying to avoid VNC type programs like iTeleport, I need something more in line with RDP so I can manage Windows Servers through iPad with ease?

Any suggestions?

I use iTap RDP client. I'm very happy with it. It is the only one I have used, though, so I don't have much frame of reference.
