other then only making 1 phone radio for everywhere whats the benefit of this for the vast majority of people that dont leave the country??

You know for Android this would mean no carrier specific versions, different SoCs, and ONE development path. So yes I do care.

Interesting that the most surprising feature of the iP5 (A15) is probably the feature that most iPhone buyers will least care/know about.

I can just imagine the blank stares produced in the Apple Store when a debate about A9 vs. A15 comes up.

Doesn't matter. iPhone normally has near top of the line hardware upon initial release. iOS is going to fly on A15. Can't wait.

My bad, I didn't phrase my post clearly. I saw Anand's post on the A6 being A15, I meant that I didn't see it coming. Caught me off guard.

Still want to see what its sporting for a GPU though, and how it'll compared to the S4 Pro and S4+Adreno 3xx.

i wasent asking why you cared i was asking why it was a big deal because i was honestly ignorant of the reason besides only having to make 1 phone for everywhere

but besides that is there any other benefit?

Can't do that with an iPhone either...

right but the 128 comes standard, granted you cant add anything but it at least all comes baked in

I'm curious to see how actual A15 does vs. Qualcomm's variant.

A15 is exciting news because that means the new Nexus phone in November will have it as well.

You think? If the Note 2 were shipping Exynos Dual I'd believe it, but no Nexus model has yet pushed the CPU envelope.

Android sells 4-1 compared to Apple, why do you need Apple to adopt NFC before anyone else gives it a chance?

This... is an ugly phone.

This is subjective, I find the Galaxy S3 ugly as hell but everyone else thinks it looks awesome. I personally bought the HTC One X over the S3 because it looked so nice.

TBH IMO NFC is pointless, its slow adoption is due to the fact that no one fing cares about it besides a handful of nerds

nothing about it that i really don't like. i'm glad the phone did not get much larger in size. one of the major things i like about my phone is the size.

Ok, but how does this matter? Does this diminish the fact that it's an awesome CPU? Maybe we should stop hyping the CPU advances in Android devices if it's something no one cares about.
