I don't think it has anything to do with price, Steve Jobs seemed to dislike bigger screens though so maybe that has something to do with it. I wish they would've made it a 4" screen with the same aspect ratio as before, I don't watch movies on a 4" screen anyway and I'd much rather have black borders around widescreen video than having them around apps.
Overall I'm very impressed with the new iPhone 5. Fast hardware and the chassis built out of premium materials. Its going to feel luxurious in the hand for sure.
i pretty much agree with you, IMO the sweet spot is the 4-4.3 inch range, i have a nexus and large hands and anything larger would be too large4 inches is perfect, I have been waiting for this for years. Ever since I had a Motorola Atrix I wanted Apple to implement a 4 inch screen because I felt like it was a sweet spot between size, usability, and portability a phone should have. I have the HTC One X right now and the screen is too big for me to handle with hand easily even though physically it's much smaller then what I thought it would be like.
I'm 6 feet tall before anyone says it's because I am short or have small hands or something stupid like that.
Apple bashers are pouring in ....
Btw why is our moderator trolling?

2x CPU and 2x GPU performance. Should be the performance contender.
You really think Apple couldn't have done all this back in 2011? It's all about implementing the features right with Apple and it has served them well.4" Screen.
Almost 720p display
LTE
Truly amazing. It's like 2011 all over again!
It's not trolling to simply say one is not jumping up and down with excitement. I was actually planning on getting one to replace my current phone but the excitement just isn't there.
What's the point of the new lens cover? The one thing that I find quite exciting is the possibility that it can sustain 8 hours of battery life with constant LTE/4G browsing - but somehow I find that hard to believe.
And hopefully any areas that were improved upon will be implemented in any Android upgrades.

I prefer the Apple way to be honest and I have a Google Nexus.
I think that too but Apple does take it to a new level. The new Maps is pretty amazing. It's not just catching up. It's catching up and going further.
