yes, because engineering new smaller chips that are faster and have better battery life is being sooo lazy...

troll troll troll your boat!

they should have put that in the iPhone 4S and you expect that as part of the tech curve. I have an Iphone and I find nothing revolutionary about it. A troll I am then.

That pop up loop armband button on the iPod touch is very odd. For a minimalist company, I'm surprised they added that.

That would put it well behind Krait Pro on the cpu front and at best equal on gpu.

Is there a Krait Pro device out now? This is a serious question btw. Also what are the benchmarks?

Under the radar announcement. New version of iTunes. I hope they completely overhaul it. It needs a major update for speed, which is one of the things that's supposedly new about the new iTunes. That's first and foremost. It also needs an update on some of the management side of things. It's klunky.

I didn't see anything that wowed me, nor anything that JB doesn't already have.
Those two items may be related.
Hardware is nice, but we have phones that already match this small screen wonder, and will see Nexus phones that blast past it again within a couple months.

From what they were showing it looks completely different, I'm hoping they improved it a lot because I really don't like how it is on Windows right now.

I think it has to do with the ability for the average person to easily use the screen with their thumb. I have used a number of smartphones and I have found that anything larger than 4" to me is difficult one-handed. I'm a large guy with big hands, so I'm pretty sure Apple did this to make sure most people could easily use the IP5 one-handed.

Personally I think around 4" is the sweet spot. Having a larger screen is awesome, but actually using it one handed is either painful or dangerous (to the phone)...

Way too small, but I guess it is just what you are comfortable with. I am 6'1" with normal hands and my S2X still feels small. Thinking of going for a Note-sized phone next time since I do so much reading (and other things) on my phone now. There is a good amount of available space in my hand while holding my phone, so no issues with going much larger. 4" is much better, but nowhere near big enough for me and my normal sized hands.

I think that too but Apple does take it to a new level. The new Maps is pretty amazing. It's not just catching up. It's catching up and going further.

What did they add? All I saw is a birds-eye type of feature, Bing has had that for a while.

Unless I missed something Apple has a long way till they catch up with Google Maps. Especially with the local data, 100M looks like a big number, but I'm certain Google has a lot more.

That's what I've emphasized is what Apple's been doing. The camera is beautiful and if it took the SGS3 to match teh 4s camera, now they've just taken it one step further.

The point is Google needs to launch a really good Nexus phone now. It felt like yesterday when JB debuted, so I have a feeling they might push out the Key Lime Pie launch a bit. While a new Nexus is due, the OS just got an overhaul.

Can you imagine yet another new OS to update to when only 1% of the population is using JB? Considering Samsung is hard at work upgrading their SGS3 and SGS2 to JB, to have yet another update? Haha.... And we'll see HTC fall more and more behind in terms of their backlogged update schedule.

it would of been nice if the iphone got dlna support(something that the first droid x had)and features to let it take burst shots like the s3 does. You cant say there gps app is better than google maps yet since there has been no match ups yet.

jelly bean was more of a refined ics and most cant tell the difference and I think there next os will add alot of new features.

That is why I wished that the gs3 was a nexus branded cell because it would get the stuff first but honeslty we are at a point now that both platforms are working almost perfect and its just user choice on what they prefer.

I honeslty dont see google rushing out a new os to have to compete with ios 6.There is nothing that wowed me over what I can do with a gs3

Its said to be the thinnest smartphone at 7.6mm. I'm kind of surprised by that. What's the thinnest smartphone currently? And what are its measurements?

You really think Apple couldn't have done all this back in 2011? It's all about implementing the features right with Apple and it has served them well.

Android makers just cram out everything as fast as they could without worrying about bugs/battery life/usability.

I prefer the Apple way to be honest and I have a Google Nexus.

Everybody is entitled to there opinion

Apple gives you what they want when they want to....It's all about future sales! There is no logical reason why the screen is so small other than saving it for the next design(iphone 6) or at the current rate maybe even the iphone 8 if it's even around by then.

If Apple chose to go with a 4.3-4.5" screen now then it would most likely be defended by the loyal and sell more units to the unloyal....The downside is it would most likely hurt future sales at the same time.

I gotta say I find the two toned back panel to be pretty ugly. And the increase in screen size doesn't help my biggest gripe with the iPhone - the screen is too narrow to type comfortably. This screen is bigger, sure, but its no wider, so it won't be any better for typing.

The Razr's are 7.1mm at the thinnest part but they have the camera bulge at the top that is like 10mm or something.

I think it's a ZTE or Huawei phone? Not sure.

I like that it got lighter, but thinner is only good to a certain point. I felt the current iPhone was pretty good in terms of thickness, it just needed to be lighter. Once you start going too thin like the Razr and S3 the phone just becomes uncomfortable to hold.

Lg should be releasing one in the next month or two.

Mind showing me some stats on that quote. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd love to see what you are talking about.

A5 was only a 800mhz A9 dual core so everything on that chart is substantially more powerful. A6 could be better when it comes to gpu performance but there is no way it will be competitive on cpu performance.

There is at least one Android phone in the 6.Xmm rage but I can't remember who makes it.

I think the longer screen would benefit web browsing quite a bit.

Droid Razr was 7.1mm (the new HD one is thicker).

Thanks. That is thin.
