SRS QUESTION:

16gb or 32gb? With cloud I'm thinking 16gb. What do you guys think?

It all depends, I went from 8 GB iPhone original to 32 GB iphone 4 and most of the time I could have gotten away with just 16.

If you have 16 now, is it enough? Only you can make that decision.

My wife and I currently have 16gb and my kids each have 32gb. My kids have no problems.

I will probably go with 32gb because I am an app hog and my wife never deletes pictures, so we are close to running out of room.

Sounds like the weird static noise bug. I've had it show up once, and apparently it only shows up while typing.

Im a cloud whore and I find my 16gb lacking. I'm constantly filtering pics off and my apps collection is lean. I don't even have enough space to update to ios6

Yeah, that's one of the main reasons I went with 64gb. I shoot a zillion pics of my kiddo and also like to do fun video stuff, and my last 32gb 4S was just too small. On both the 4S and the 5, I've gotten the "iCloud full" message on day 1 of ownership

I figured out where the bulk of my storage is being used - 2gb in music and 2gb in voice memos. I'm surprised that I have 2gb in music since I'm using iCloud, but those are probably the files that I've manually temporarily downloaded. The rest is pretty much OS/pics/apps.

I have 12GB in music right now. I used to have around 30-35GB in apps, but I've pared down my apps... a lot.

I don't generally watch movies on my iPhone, and don't put much music on my phone either. I prefer iPods with real buttons or clickwheels for music.

I do not put any movies on my iPhone. However, I have a ton of apps and music. I prefer to have one device for everything.

Capacity after the software is 28.49 GB on my iPhone 4 running 5.0.1, jailbroken of course.

6.2 GB of music - this is 75-80 hrs of music, yes I summed it up using the time column in iTunes
0.84 GB of pictures - this is over 1400 pictures
5.4 GB of Apps - this is again, tons of apps, don't know exact number as well as tons of games, some of the games are 400-500 MB each
1.56 GB of other - these are my jailbreak apps as well as my ROMs for my SNES emulator and other stuff that iTunes doesn't identify.
14.6 free

So I guess I am using close to the 16 GB limit but the thing is full of crap right now, plus I'm going to the cloud for my iTunes music. I will probably still splurge for the 32 GB iPhone 5 but I will probably never use the extra 16 GB.

Try adding movies at 1GB a pop. My wife also has A LOT of pictures and videos on her phone. She had a 32GB iPhone 4 and it was close to getting full. She now has a 64GB iPhone 5 so she should be good until the iPhone 6.
