I am surprised no Fulgore or Cinder. I thought those were more popular characters than Spinal.

Larnz, I think season 2 will probably happen after the EVO tournament season (meaning June 2014). If they are serious about being a real fighting game, introducing new characters right before big tournaments isn't the way to go about it.

Don't think IGN have put up the video of the actual fights they had which imo showcased orchid a lot better than the reveal.

Yeah, I just meant introducing them like mid season. That doesn't give people time to really delve into them, despite it giving some entertaining blow ups when no names beat pros that don't understand the matchups or technology yet. Sort of like how Rocket Raccoon really had a strong showing one year.

That's the thing that sucks. Some random gets lucky and people fins out then the forums collapse with "wtf...omg...can't believable" etc. Instead of analyzing what was going on and figuring out how people can better their game against a certain matchup people just post random banter about nothing.

damn orchid looks sick. i love how they teased spinal's trollish laugh, i really hope it is back.

she looks awesome! some new stuff too - air throws, as well as ground bounce. i love how the cat is back as well and she actually turns into it! her instinct mode looks pretty awesome too, almost marvelish because it's like an assist.

Well I just ordered my Mad Catz TE2 KI fight stick. While as pointed out part for part its not a bad deal it is still a lot of money for a peripheral but I am looking forward to it. I had to bus through the city center on the way home when i was a youngster in High School and always played a few games of KI 1 then 2 each day in the arcade and loved it.

I haven't been big into fighting games on consoles in the past really but did play a bit of SF4 on 360 with a controller etc which was great. Really hope the fight stick gives me the feeling of playing an arcade machine and that KI really is as awesome as it looks!

You guys have mentioned modding your previous fight sticks etc with better parts or replacement parts, tell me that this $300nzd fight stick will actually last me and be good without the need to upgrade parts

The parts are all Sanwa Denshi parts imported from Japan. Top tier quality and about the best parts you can buy for fighting games. They are the choice for all Capcom vewlix style arcade cabs today. Every version of street fighter uses these. Some of us mod them with various things like different colored buttons, bubble tops to replace the stick's ball top or various colors, some people do LED lights in the controller and stick to illuminate the ball top or buttons themselves. I like to make the stick tension tighter so I add a spring from a korean company called Seimetsu that has a higher tension and is a larger diameter. I use this larger spring with the stock Sanwa spring and it creates a heavier resistance on the stick.

Anyway the stick will last you years. It won't break easily...believe me I have been hard on my current madcatz stick and it still works after many years.

you can buy a box of springs for like $2 at home depot and use those to put in the sanwa jlf. that is what i did. i actually put 2 of em in there.

and Larnz, if you have never played on a japanese stick, you might want to check out the octo-gate for these joysticks. they are a piece of cake to pop on/off, but the default square gate is going to feel weird to you if you've never used one.

he was popular, but spinal was nearly 6 feet tall on the side of the cabinet, and the sub-boss in the game. it is kind of hard to pinpoint who the mascot of the game was. but it's clear that there are a few who definitely were more "standout" than the rest, and fulgore was on that list. i'd probably put orchid, jago, and spinal on there as well. then i'd say everyone else was a step below.

personally, i'd rather have fulgore than spinal, because i was better with him in the past games. they may be holding out on fulgore to be the 8th announcement so that it keeps the hype going. i bet they lead out with combo or cinder for season 2 though.

if it's not fulgore as the 8th character, i hope it's a newcomer or combo.

going to play it in about 2 hours. probably won't take any videos or anything but i'll get some pics of the setup of the tour. just no need to get videos cause i'm sure we won't be doing anything cool like you haven't seen yet. definitely gonna bring my 360 joystick and see if they let me try to use it. i'll report back with impressions and stuff later too.

Cool, I do hope the stick works. Sony announced that ps3 sticks will work if developers allow it in their games. Which sounds weird, but I guess the ps4 doesn't care that it is a ps3 controller but the game has to be made to recognize it.

even if it works on the devbox, it's not gonna work on retail x1's ms has already flat out said this. i just don't want to have to play on a pad. if i have to play on a pad, i probably won't stay as long as i would have with a joystick. i'll also try out forza and whatever else they have on demo.

Do you have a link? I saw on srk forums people saying the 360 sticks should work.
