The only thing that bugs me about these videos is how someone does a combo by repeating the same move over and over for 30 hits. It really makes it look like button mashing in an action game sometimes.

that is how killer instinct has always been.
fulgore was a beast at the game. actually all of the characters were very viable, that is what made the game so great, there weren't really any "tiers" in the game. but also i think they were all very similar in play styles, which is probably another reason why they were all viable.
smackababy i don't think you quite understand the pricing. for $40 you only get the first 8 characters (6 at launch, 2 around feb/march, along with the single player mode), as well as ki1 version (as of now, it has no online either) and a buncha costumes. for $20 you get just the 8 characters, as well as the single player mode when it eventually is finished.
then come season 2, which is supposed to be 8 more characters, you can buy them all for $20, and possibly some other kind of $40 version.
me personally, i'm getting the $20 version because i already own killer instinct 1 arcade cab, and i'm not one for costumes.
That is annoying. I was hoping they would do a VIP program similar to Forza and Battlefield. You buy the program and get all the DLC. If all I get is garbage, I'll buy the $20 version...
I am trying to understand how this pricing model of 'seasons' and SFIV having multiple versions of the same game is glossing people over. Is it because they are piecing more characters together in bunches? While I have always wanted KI to make a modern comeback, I fear that its modernization is in creating an episodic foundation for many games to follow, pending its success. You could make arguments either way - I just hope the franchise really gets merit when it is released.
If you use only the free character, Jago you can play online forever against ANY character. If you buy one character, you can play online forever against ANY character. You never get locked out. You do not have to buy all the packages to keep up. The characters on day one will always be able to play against the new characters no matter what.
With Street Fighter IV you were semi-locked out. You had special AE only lobbies that blocked anyone who didn't have arcade edition. This won't happen with KI according to my reading, you can play with anyone regardless of what character package you buy or don't buy.
In short...
You can take any character and play against anyone, forever, for as long as you wish to.
The game is only going to be 720p. http://gamingbolt.com/killer-instin...s-removed-or-optimized-praises-xbox-one-cloud
Its important to remember that they want 60fps all the time.
