As for the next game I wouldn't be surprised if they win because I'm sure kobe is rather pissed about the lost and will come out and simply dominate with possibly a 45+ night.

Chicago's not in the playoffs, so the only reason I watch is to root against the Lakers.

so masterxfob please give me you list of excuses as to why the lakers lost.
The way I see it. Kobe only scored 27. Their work horse didn't produce the 40 points they need out of him.
fisher really stepped up to fill the void with his 8 point offering as did horry and fox with their 6 points. No wonder they lost. These guys sit around waiting for kobe to have 40 point nights and then when he doesn't quite get to 40 no one is their to pick up the extra points. Shaq tries but yet again no one is their to help out.

where did that come from? why are you pointing me out amongst a hord of lakers fans? i never gave an excuse for the lakers loss.
anyhow, i think the lakers supporting cast did not step up tonight and the twolves just played an amazing game. the twolves were making seemingly all their shots, they did a great job of enforcing the full court press, and they played good defense. part of the reason for their good defense was that no one on the lakers could make an outside shot, allowing the twolves defense to cave in on shaq.

I noticed you as the one making up excuses for the lakers poor record during the regular season and you seem to the one talking crap about everyone else's opinion so I thought I would ask for you opinion since you seem to know everything.

First off, masterxfob, you have lost all credibility due to your unwarranted post earlier on in this thread.
But one thing about the game that stuck out to me besides the T'wolves amazing shooting was Nesterovic's defense on Shaq. I didn't get to see the 4th quarter, but throughout the rest of the game, Shaq had maybe 1 or 2 dunks that weren't created from an offensive rebound. Nesterovic did a great job at making shaq take those little 4 foot shots...and when you force him to do that, you are doing a great job.
All in all, the T'wolves made a huge statement today. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, said that after game 1 that the wolves would be swept...but tonight they destroyed the lakers and this greatly changes everyones views. Sure, the lakers may go on to win the next 3 games, but the wolves showed tonight that they can play great playoff basketball
