I picked up an Intel i5-3570K CPU from CompUSA for ~$160 (after tax). Not sure if I'm actually going to use/keep it though.

Newegg had the ASRock Z77 Extreme3 for $99.99 and it came with 2x4GB of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 memory free. I wanted to get that, but the memory is no longer included. If they revive that deal, or if something similar becomes avail between today and through Cyber Monday, I may keep the CPU. I'm still rockin my Q9550 @ 3.6 GHz, so I'm not even really sure I "need" an upgrade, but if I can get a really good deal, I might go for it anyway. I imagine many would recommend I just wait til Haswell.

Missed the 60" Vizio at Amazon and then Walmart, thought about it, said no, then yes, then overslept this morning. Went to Sam's about 8am and there was the last 65" Vizio, just sitting there all alone. It was very depressed and needed a new home. That's the story the wife will hear

So far got a 3570k for $189 (no TD/MC local to me, so couldn't get in on the damn near free deals...grr), the OCZ Vertex3 120GB for $50, the ASRock Extreme3/8GB ram deal for $100, and the Asus VS238H-P 2ms monitor for $119AR. I still need a 7850/gtx660, a cheap case, and a modest PSU.

The deals above, however, were decent enough that I was able to get those parts vs. a AM3+/FX-6300 that I was considering before. I don't need all the parts until xmas, so it isn't imperative that I find the case/psu/vid card immediately but I would like to stop having to scan slickdeals obsessively every 10min.

So a friend and I decided to get up and go out for BF deals. He was looking for a HDTV and I was looking for a few things. Anyways we started at BB at around 5am and were shocked to see that many of the door-busters were still in stock.

The store was pretty empty as is usual after opening at midnight. They never received the Toshiba 50" for $400 though so he just purchase a 55" which almost didn't fit in the car.

We wandered to other store openings and found that many were not that busy. I was expecting a lot more people. So it was an easy BF experience.

I missed out on the electric smoker at Bass Pro Shops . Other than that I got everything I wanted. Stocked up for the year on screwdrivers, bits, and sockets.

Wasn't anything I wanted or needed on sale for BF so I didn't visit any stores myself. Heard from some friends that did go out though that the stores really weren't that crowded. Seemed like a slightly busy Friday in some stores at best.

Missed out on the $200 40" TV at Walmart, and the $70 Blu-Ray at Kmart. Got the $200 Dewalt 4 piece cordless set at Sears. It was exactly the set I was looking for, a drill, circular saw and recip saw (and a light and 2 batteries). That was last night.

Ignored this morning. Really wasn't that interested in anything this morning.

Went out later and picked up some bolts and hardware I needed. Nothing special. Picked up a drill and driver bit set at Ace. That might have been a local sale only (it wasn't the one in the flyer). Also went to Kohls, TJMAXX, and JCPenny, nothing special there. Also went to BB at like, 7:00pm and got two of the Garmin Nuvi 50LM for my parents and grandmother.

I bought a few things online Thanksgiving morning around 1:00 AM Pacific / 4:00 AM Eastern. Thank goodness for Discover.com's 5% cask back bonus!

My wife finished up the rest this morning.

Bought 2 Seagate 3TB HDDs at Newegg.com for same price ($89.99) that the local Tigerdirect was selling. Free shipping, no tax.

Went to local Lowe's this 8 am morning and bought some hardware stuff (flashlights, batteries, screw driver set). Not much of a crowd in the store. Saw the mall parking lots packed with cars since midnight. Was thinking of passing by Walmart but couldn't remember what I wanted to buy if they even still had them in stock.

Can't wait for Cyber Monday. ^_^

I only stopped at Office Depot at 8:30a and they still had a doorbuster notepad available. Everything else I found online for the same advertised in-store price, including a doorbuster logitech remote at Best Buy.

Not really Black Friday, but I had preordered a Wii U and got it and set it up. Also bought a couple remotes and controller.

Also bought a 24 port gigabit managed switch for like 100 bucks off ebay. A steal! Even if it's a Dell, it's still half decent.

I have to stop spending money now. Thankfully today was pay day so the credit card is paid off at least.
