Hi folks!
I have a little bit trouble with my system:
X2 3800+ cooled by Thermalrigth SL-120
MSI K8NGM2-FID
2x 512 Crucial Ballistix CL2 (@2,8V VDIMM, thats Spec.)
Hitachi T7K250 SATA II (Only SATA 1 activated)
Enermax Liberty 400 Watt
DVD-Rom (Only Primary IDE Channel activated)
Floppy
Coolermaster Mystiqe 631 (2x 120mm Fans)
WinXP SP2
AMD Dual Core Driver
AMD Dual Core Optimizer
nforce 430 8.26 Drivers w/o IDE and NAM installed
forceware 9.31
Newest Realtek Drivers
Kaspersky AntiVir
MSI PCAlert
All stock speeds, CPU-NB@800MHz, NB-SB@800MHz, 16 Bit
Thats all running this system.
I have just built this system 2 days ago.
Yesterday I started a double Prime95 Session, Torture Testing for about 10 Hours.
Everything went fine, no Errors during this session.
But when I stopped Prime (both sessions), I just wanted to start a 3DMark06 afterwards.
But the programm hanged up, then I tried 3DMark03, same result.
Then the System went unstable, stuttering and hanging, not able to work with it. Tried to shut down, what was not possible.
Then I resetted the system and directly went into the BIOS, with the Result, that the Bios freezed, so resetted again and then, everything was quit normal, I could enter directly enter the Bios after the second reset, starting up windows and so on.
I looked up the event logs in Windows, bringing the following results:
the 3dmarks hang up (both) -> logged in the Application Log
Problems with the CD-Rom (DVD) and Atapi logged in the System Log:
\Device\Ide\IdePort0 did not respond within the error-waiting-time (I have to translate this, sorry for that ) (EVENT 9)
and
an error occured during a buffer-procedure concerned \Device\CDrom0 (Event 51)
But a DVD-Drive (Toshiba-Samsung /TSST) causing a Bios Freeze???? And Yes it is correctly recognized in the BIOS.
RAM is okay, tested it with memtest86+ overnight, no errors
HDD is also okay, tested it with Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, no errors
During Prime Session, no CPU errors
Temperatures are okay, during Prime Session (Full Load), PCAlert 4 shows 47° CPU and 36° System (But I think NB and SB are hotter, but that seems to be quite normal)
So what the Hell is not right with my system?
Anyone Ideas? I really could need help!
BTW: ATM I am running a second Prime Session, with Optimized Defaults loaded and another DVD-Drive (TEAC).
