Really thinking of coughing up my HTC One. It has so much GARBAGE entrenched in it courtesy of AT&T.

guys I'm not particularly knowledgeable about the lte bands and such. i have the nexus 4 and know it is pentaband... i do jump between att and t-mobile networks through prepaid sim cards... will I be able to do the same thing with the nexus 5?
I just impulse bought the 32gb version since I don't want to wait months to get one...

Linky? It's the camera and battery life I've got the most worries about.

They're not trashing it. They're just saying it's kinda meh.
Why not make the whole thing white instead of just the back of it? I am going with black anyway but out of curiosity.
The front of white phones always look odd. With the screen off there's a big black rectangle with a white border with the screen on there's a white border, then a thin black border then the active bit of the screen.
It just looks better with the front all black, the screen disappears into the front.
That is probably my biggest fear! I don't want the phone to acquire stains over time. What should be used to clean off grease? Windex? That and since the back is plastic now I'm afraid the white will discolor eventually (die from jeans, case, or whatever).
?? Dude only said Android cameras in general suck. You definitely twisted his words.
However, I have to say Dieter B from Verge is annoying to read. Always trying to find somehing to moan about with Android.

Well, I suppose it's a subjective taste so I have to disagree and leave it there. I think it looks a bit off with black and white stuck together.
However, I have to say pretty much everyone from Verge is annoying to read. Always trying to find somehing to moan about with Android.
Dammit, gonna have to cancel my order. Just read on Ars that the phone isn't compatible with Verizon... *cries*
From SirOmega on Ars:
It will run on AT&T (GSM/HSPA/LTE bands all supported), T-Mobile (GSM/HSPA in PCS and AWS, LTE supported) and Sprint (CDMA, tri-band LTE for 800, 1.9 and 2.5).
It wont work on Verizon because it doesn't support Band 13 LTE (Verizon's 700MHz LTE network).
You're reading it wrong. It has every LTE band for T-mobile, AT&T, and Sprint, including the tri-band stuff Sprint just announced yesterday.Looks like I'm going to have to pass. Unless I'm reading this wrong the N5 LTE bands are really limited. I wouldn't get 4G in many places at all.
That's crazy talk.I was actually looking at dumping my Note 3 for a Nexus 5
