I need a wii! Is there any type of hockey game out for the Wii yet? I'm thinking it'd be awesome to be able to wind up and shoot!

For any Canadians here, I've come across two nifty sites for finding online stock for the wii. Well the first link has for both the Wii and the PS3, the second has for the Wii only.

Of course they are both coming up pretty dry right now. Canadian stock seems a bit limited.

The single player mode for Super Monkey Ball has got to be the most frustrating game ever... I really enjoyed Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 for Gamecube, but the difficulty of controlling the stages with the wiimote is insane. I really love Monkey Battle though. It made me open up Halo for XBox to try that game out, but I still haven't gotten past the title screen because I was too tired to actually try playing it. :laugh:

First time since I bought the system on Nov 19th that I'd actually played something other than Wii.

Fired up Medieval 2 Total War for a couple hours. Fun game, great graphics just needed a break from Wii, my shoulders hurt like hell from Bowling

Tomorrow I'm gonna focus on Trauma Center some more. I'm halfway through.

:Q That's 'spensive. Especially considering they're no more expensive than Gamecube games. I think Hollywood video is $5.99 to rent last gen games and $6.99 to rent 360 games I think. I asked how much Wii games would be, they said probably the same. I might do that until there are enough games I want from Gamefly/Gameznflix

I got Trauma Center today... seems good so far. Only played two levels. The wife seems uninterested in it.

really? $8 to rent a wii game? wtf?? even 5.99 for a game is insane.
After hearing this, maybe i will subscribe to gamefly...

gd it...my component cables still haven't arrived. Shipped from Redmond, WA at 1am on 11/29 and that's the last update. Should've paid for the upgraded shipping.

Everyone seems to be downplaying SMB. Are you guys playing single player, or multiplayer?

I haven't opened my copy yet, and I'm wondering if I should look at getting something else instead.

both. I did not like single player because it's only one save slot (unless I missed something). and when I went to repractice a level I finished... the only way out was to reset the game, unless I missed something.

multiplayer... like i mentioned before, they could have done a lot more to make it better. only a handful of good ones, and too short.

It's still kind of fun, but should have been cheaper. Keep in mind I was never a fan of marble madness either.

So if anyone wants to trade for excite truck... I'm game

Has anyone here moved from a GC to a Wii? If you have, when you play cube games do you get a performance increase, or does it appear to go into a compatibility mode (i.e., throttle back to cube speeds)?

Set my Wii up last night with component cables. Looks awesome on my 42" plasma!! And I must say that Wii sports is very addicting, especially with 2 or more people!! I have a feeling I'm going to be playing a lot of this thing...

Can anyone recommend a very good wii game that utilizes the wii remote well?? I'm thinking sports or car/truck racing. I heard that trauma center is good, and I'm curious about excite truck (what about the GT racing game). Can anyone chime in here?

Rayman Raving Rabbids has you doing all sorts of things with the remote and nunchuk

examples: swinging it over your head like a lasso for a cow toss. pumping your hands up and down lik you're running to make your onscreen character run, usign it like a gun to aim and shoot plungers, shaking the nunchuk while aiming the remote at doors to keep them closed.

FYI for those interested - The Super Wal-Mart on Mansell Rd in Alpharetta, GA had a sign up saying they will have more Wiis on sale at 8AM on Dec 6th (tomorrow).
