how is that a good deal? thats $100 more than retail...and with PA tax, thats still $76 over retail.

You'll know it when you're in the first dungeon. You're not there yet.

I can't decide if I should get a Wii. I mostly play sports games like NCAA football, March Madness, Madden, and NBA Live though. I'm not really into Zelda or anything else like that.

Is the Wii for me?

If you are a Madden pro - and you've been playing it for years and have rivalries and whatnot with your friends, the Wii version of Madden essentially takes that all away and makes you start from scratch.

If you just like to play sports games, and aren't hardcore about it, then they are just as fun. Just be aware that, while fun, they are different games, and you'll have to learn them all over again.

Personally, I'm a big Madden fan, but the game really doesn't mesh well with the control scheme of the Wii - too many quick moves are required which can be done much faster with a simple thumb movement than with an entire arm movement.

It is simpler than that. If they horde them, they can advertise them. When a customer sees it in the advertisement, the customer will see them as a store that "has it". In other words, they want their store to be the first place people think of when they want to make a purchase.

I went to Target today and they actually had about 15 remotes and 10 nunchuks :Q

I just bought one of each (bringing my total to 3 and 2), hopefully the rest aren't all bought buy eBayers.

So far I believe the only stores regularly releasing consoles as they come in (and not hoarding shipments to be released on Sundays) is Gamestop/EBgames. Although they have been doing a Friday release here and there.

The biggest release of the Wii since its launch should be the 17th. Best Buy hasn't released any since the Sunday after Thanksgiving and many other stores have hopped onto the same strategy.

Get ready to go camping.

Yep, although EBgames told me that they have a directive from their HQ that they have to hold all incoming shipments until sunday this week and can't sell them. They told me that people had figured out the exact timing of the UPS deliveries and would call immediately when the UPS guy came to see if any came in.

Yeah that sucks. My local wal-mart had a sign up that said they would have a "limited number" of wii consoles available on Dec. 6 at 8:00 am. I should have had my brother there that day waiting! He offered but I said don't worry about it . (this was before I played one)
My wal-mart has also had a full stock of nunchucks/wiimotes/classic controllers since release.

Maybe I'll go see if they put up another sign yet

Why is it that big review sites can't get a review out even a day before a game is released? I've only been able to find one review of Super Swing Golf. I want to order it, but if it's going to suck I'd rather not.
