I was thinking about getting a wii but had a quick question. Can i play most games sitting in a chair? Everytime i see videos of people playing there either standing up going crazy with the wand thing or sitting on the edge of the seat going crazy. I think its cool and all but im lazy and i wanna sit back in my recliner and just play without all the crazy hand motions.
Depends on the game... As far as Wii Sports goes, boxing, tennis and baseball can be played sitting down easily, whereas bowling and golf are almost impossible. Most of the other titles are played sitting down, with an exception of maybe some minigames in Rayman.

I come back from vacation to find that my wiimote isn't working anymore. Any sudden movement and the controller turns itself off, then it comes back on after 2-3 seconds, but enough time to stop whatever game I'm playing.

What the hell do people keep saying they are standing "on line". You are IN LINE not ON LINE.

I know people mentioned this before but I finally just started getting into playing tennis and got my skill level up to around 500 or so and now everyone I'm playing is 1100-1200 skill levels. I come close to beating them (1-2 consistently in best of 3...usually hitting deuce a couple times) but it's pretty damn tough. Anyone know how to do the power serves and is there any skill in placing shots? I would think it was based on timing but it seems more random.

Power serves are VERY quick wrist snaps. Aiming....just practice some of the training things for tennis to help with your timing and/or placement of shots. And to gain points faster, play the computer in games/sets of 5. I'm at 1287 skill and facing computers of 1900 or better

I remember when I first played final fantasy X - that was definitely an experience...the cinemas and voice acting added so much to the game. And zelda would only even need a fraction of voice to do the job. Instead we just hear babbling...such a shame.
Me and my friends can always have a good laugh about how zelda tp handles voice acting. Its pretty funny with the single worders and grunts and funny noises. We also all agree that its the thing that turns us off of the game.
Can they even fit that kind of content onto a wii game? Isnt it a proprietary format or something. I wonder what the capacity is like. It also kind of sucks that the wii doesnt play DVDs. I just read somewhere that they are going to release a version in Japan that will, seems kinda cheesy, they should have just made it standard
I agree, the voice acting in zelda... wtf were they thinking?!?!? should have been all or nothing. Or... an option for internet folk. have the voices stream.. heh, ok, that's a bad idea.
As for DVD's... they just didn't want to pay the licensing regarding it. I'm 99% confident that nintendo could just release a paid "DVD chanel" along w/ a firmware update and we'd have a dvd player. Imagine using the wiimote to point at your menus

You also get points quicker if you play both front and back.
I'm at 1500 or so, and will usually only lose a few "points" against the 1900 and 2000 level players. Humans are much harder. After a few games, they figure out my tricks and it becomes more even.
