I think it's the service that is providing the data. I have Mars WeatherPanel on my WinMo phone and it requires the same state>city deal. I think it gets its data from the same place.

Uh oh...

I'm getting a bunch of vertical lines all over my tv when playing Zelda. The amount varies depending on where I am-- you can see a lot when going through foggy places. It happens in Wii sports as well, but not as much. They are also very apparent at the Wii home screen. Popped in a gamecube game (ssb meele) and there was no artifacting at all...

What's the biggest SD card the Wii can take? And is it required for downloading stuff or is there a hard drive in there?

Edit: Found it searching around Nintendo's support site:

The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will likely not work with the Wii console.

Good to know, thanks! When will these things be readily available in stores? I'm not in any rush, but I want to get my hands on one so I can begin modding

My 4GB SD card works fine on the Wii.

And finally, after a month, I got extra nunchuks!!!!!!!! So if anyone in the Toronto area still need one, the Toys R Us near Bayview and HW 7 had like 15 at 6 this evening. The kid and mom just in front of me in line also managed to grab the both a PS3 and Wii.

hahaha, I missed that today.

Did anyone else get a message from nintendo? I did.. but oddly, it locked up my wii... I couldn't turn it on to read the message, I had to power cycle it.

Well, I won't have it for Christmas, but I finally was able to score one online (although it is a crappy walmart bundle), should be here next week... of course, I won't be keeping it if they won't give me my money back at the store for the games.

You shouldn't have a problem returning games to walmart for refund. All my games shipped separately with separate invoices and I was able to return them. Also, if any of your games get delayed (you'll get an email message), just call Walmart CS and complain and ask for a cancellation request. They will likely cancel all the unfulfilled games you haven't received... of course, don't do this until your console has shipped....

Awesome, this is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I managed to order it as well, should show up between 12/28-01/03. I plan on keeping Trauma Center, possibly Elebits, but these ones are all going back:

I'm already kinda tired of mine. I've had it since launch...played a lot of Wii Sports and some Zelda but I can't get into it. Now, after spending $450 (2 games/component cables/2gb SD Card), it's starting to collect dust.

Is it a sign that I'm getting too old for games? I dunno...
