the US market is bigger potentially? They did release here first. If the put wii play here as well, they'd have no remotes AT ALL. And the other countries need to have their own firsts since we got the damn system first.

I'm annoyed. I've been holding off buying a 4th remote so I could buy it with Wii Play. Now I have to wait even longer.

i know the feeling i have three remotes now and everyone is like why dont u just buy one more if you already have 3 but imo its not a big deal i can wait

Yep, I got it for Christmas. Lots of fun. There are a few maddeningly frustrating games that have me pulling out my hair (I HATE YOU BUNNIES CAN'T CLOSE DOORS!), and I ended up skipping a lot of the dancing levels since they were so repetitive (but definitely FUN!). I beat it with 70% or so completion in 2 days of playing. My gf is going through and playing the rest and we're having tons of fun unlocking all the bonuses and playing the games against each other.

I also got Elebits...I think it's great. Definitely addictive in the same manner Katamari Damacy was to me. Right now my gf is going through the tutorial. She's never played any type of FPS before, and it shows, but she is learning exceptionally fast. Her hand is pretty shaky too, so it's a bit nauseating to watch at times. She says she's digging it so far though. I'm glad to finally have a game with co-op multiplayer though. Time to unlock lots of levels for multiplayer!

If anyone else has Elebits, share your Wii console code so we can swap edited levels.

Wii sports is packed in here, and not anywhere else. Wii sports alone would cause the sale of a massive amount of controllers. I guess they assumed people wouldnt want to be forced to buy another game just to get a Wiimote. It'd just look bad I guess?

Id have bought it though, and Ive no need for more than 2 Wiimotes, so Im either going to skip it or sell one off when it does come around. Too bad they just wont release it on its own for 20 bucks or so.

Just bought Sonic from the Marketplace and have a question. How do you make sonic spin? I thought on the Genesis you press and hold the down button, and repeatedly tap one of the A, B or X, Y buttons to make him spin up, then you release him. Can't seem to do that on the Wiimote or Classic Controller.

We now have a WiiBrick. It was working just fine yesterday, and nothing had changed! :| :| :|

Has anybody else sent one back to Nintendo? What's the turnaround?

Have you tried the whole redneck solution for everything?? Usually works unless it's on fire, smoking, or submerged in water.

I had been using mine laying flat, but the one night I was using it in the stand, it froze up and had to be hard booted twice. Used it laying flat without the stand since then, and no problems at all.

There hasn't been a single night we haven't played Sports on it since it showed up, and I'm now 15 hours in Zelda and loving it. Trauma Center is going to be neglected until Zelda is finished.

The door closing ones are the only ones I've encountered so far that I can't beat (my wife beat them). The one where you swing the cow around and throw him is hard too, but eventually I got one to fly forward.

yeah, the door closing ones are the most troublesome for me too. its like like sometimes the controller doesn't want to work right or something.

Wasn't that added in one of the later sonic games?

I think it's more of a variation of the "shake the nunchuk repeatedly and point the remote" type games, not just a single shake you would think it takes. I noticed I got a lot more thumbsups that way and it seemed to be a little easier. Even though, I'm usually about a second short of the time needed. So frustrating.

We've been using it vertical the entire time. Then last night when we tried to turn it on, it wouldn't respond at all. We hard booted it, and it appeared to turn on, but no sound or video is coming out and the remotes no long respond to it. We've tried turning it horizontal to the same result.

The downside to Rayman is that we beat the story mode in 2 days. Score Mode will lengthen it's life quite a bit, but some of the scores you have to hit to get 1000/1000 are absurd. I don't think I'll buy this one until I can get it for under $30 (new or used).

Gamecube games use the Gamecube controller only, and I think they can only save onto a Gamecube memory card.

You have to use gamecube controller. Plays really well on Wii. I recommend the wireless Wavebird controller.

If you have component cables for Wii, most Gamecube games will play at 480p which is nice considering you can no longer buy component cables for the Gamecube.

They're selling for $15 used at Gamestop.com. Not sure if the 25% off used games coupons applies.
