Damn...I've been looking for one all week (Target, Wal-mart, Best Buy, EB, Gamestop etc..) to no avail. BLAST!

I have had problems when getting my console online. The problem turned out to be the wireless mode on the router. For some reason the Wii would not connect when the router was in "G Only" mode, it needs "Mixed B/G Mode" to connect properly. Go into your router settings and change the wireless mode. You may also want Google the error code that the console displays.

this might sounds weird but i know there are trackers to find wii's online but is there any site that tracks when actual b&m stores get wii shipments in?

Gamecube games use the Gamecube controller only, and I think they can only save onto a Gamecube memory card.

what would two gamecube controllers cost? used is perfectly fine haha.

wireless wavebirds cost about $25 new off amazon. about $35-40 new in most B&M stores. not sure how much the wired ones cost and of course there are 3rd party controllers also.

It's only been posted 3 or 4 times in this thread, and in every other thread asking about where to get a wii. However, the info is hard to find right now.

If you want something that kinda tracks inventory, try itrackr.com - from what I can tell, it only tracks EB/Gamestop, Target, and CompUSA though.

Just wanted to chime in about Super Monkey Ball. Great multiplayer game, good for parties or family gatherings. A small number of games feel rushed or unfinished for the Wii's game system (Whack-a-mole is a big one), but there are tons of other good games (the one where you fly the bird through hoops, jump rope, the one where you fly to the target using the clear ball and the second ball on top). I'd definitely recommend this game if you're planning on having lots of people over playing with you.

Got my replacement wrist straps today. Much thicker. Seem to be sturdier but hell I wasnt throwing my Wii-mote across the room anyways. I have pics if anyone wants to see the size difference in new vs old straps.

i've noticed that since I did the initial update (only updated once around thanksgiving because I don't have internet at home) on the wii that when you medal in wii sports it no longer creates a new message on the message board for it. what's with that? anyone else notice that?

Saw some at the local Wal-mart today. They had 3 PS3's. One was a returned PS3. As I got there they were unloading 6 Wii's. I meandered around electronics for a few minutes just to see what would happen. In less than 5 minutes they had sold 3 of the Wii's. As I was leaving electronics a 4th was being rung up. Crazy sh!t I tell you

It was about 1pm. It was funny too. They had one employee loading the Wii's into a locked case while 3 big male employees 'stand guard' so to speak. The store was relatively quiet yet like I said...in a span of maybe 15-20 minutes they were down to 2 Wii's from 6.

I used the Refresh Thing tracker to find the Wii available at SamsClub.com. So I ordered it last Friday...and waited...and waited...and waited for anything to change my order status online. Meanwhile my kids are getting really excited and asking about it every day. After 3 calls to customer service over the past two days, I finally found a competent person who called the "vendor" (maybe the distributor) who assured me it would ship today. So we should FINALLY get our Wii next week.

I also used a Christmas gift certificate from Amazon to order a second controller this week, and it showed up today. However I didn't get a nunchuk as it wasn't available - do we need nunchuks for each controller we have?
