I finally got a chance to sit down and play this game for longer than 10 minutes last night, and I got to say that really enjoyed the experience. What a unique game this is.
I was surprised to find at the end of playing that it actually turned out to be a really relaxing game. It possesses this, sort of, zen like quality that I don't recall finding in other games. Anyone else get that?
But as far the actual gameplay goes, I had a tough time for the first hour, adapting to the movement because I'm so use to the left stick moving your guy around--but here it moves your web-spindle-pointer-thing. So you can jump in the direction you wish to go. Once leaving the ground and you kind of control you movement a la Mario, so you can shift to the left or right slowly. You can also swing and use the enertia you build up to grab pollen by throwing yourself in vertain directions. It probably sounds like a frustrating experience, but it's totally not!
Everyone with a PS3 should, at the very least, check out the demo.
