Weird, I've watched at least twenty, maybe more, Blu-rays on my player since I got the system. Only issue I have ever had was with pausing the movies, but it seems certain discs use different buttons for pausing (no idea why that is). Otherwise they have played perfectly.

Finished Contrast. I must say it was quite a good game. Not long, and it had some issues with framerate from time to time, but incredibly unique with a very cool atmosphere and premise. Was pretty cool.

Yeah there is. It's quite confusing a little bit.

Basically the little girl lives with her mom who has split up from her dad. He's involved in some troublesome business with gangsters. She rarely sees her dad so at night she sneaks out with the shadow girl to see what her dad is up to. Basically she wants to reunite her parents and later finds out that her dad hires a magician to run a show so she ends up fixing whatever goes wrong with the set for the carnival that her dad has put together. Through the story you find out that the magician was related to the main character that can go in and out of shadows. There's a lot more to it than this but I didn't pay too much attention to it as for the most important parts was solving the puzzles.

Have you guys tried to use a ps4 controller on the ps3? I saw my brother had a friend over one day and they were playing madden, his friend was using his ps4 controller on my brother's ps3.

It can be done for many games but requires the controller to be wired in. I have not tried it yet.

Alright I was thinking to pick up beyond two souls to play on ps3. My ps3 controller is going haywire. I mainly use my ps4 for games and the ps3 just for media.

I've found that most PS3 games can use the dualshock 4 *IF* it doesn't require the pressure sensitive buttons. Like Doppel said though, it has to be connected by cable. And you will need another way to press the PS button (I use the blueray remote).

The ds4 has a PS button though. That does not function as the ds3 when plugged into a ps3?

I've also read that the ps button will not work properly on ps3 if you are using a ds4. It also looks like I may not be able to play beyond two souls with the ds4 since it requires the six axis movement which doesn't work with the ps3. I'm looking for the game on eBay and hoping that my ps3 controller pulls through and doesn't spam crazy buttons while I try to get through the game.

the last level was extremely buggy for me (the lighthouse part)

I had to replay the entire thing 3-4 times....verrrry frustrating.

My oldest son decided he wanted a ps4 so I listed his One on craigslist. He sold the One and BF4 for $465 and Wal-Mart had some ps4's in stock. Today was the first change I had to mess with it, I am not liking it near as much as the One. I am not talking about power etc, strictly the controller and especially the interface. People talk about how bad the One interface is but I never heard anything bad about the ps4's but imo it is horrible.

Im glad my other son wants to keep his One so now I have access to both. PSN is also a much better value than Live with all those games it lets you play with a subscription

I've used the 360 interface before and the one's at a friend's house. Simplicity wise, the ps4 interface is fairly easy to use. The ds4 is a lot better than the ds3 despite needing to charge more often. My opinion the ps4 interface looks better. I don't prefer the windows 8 box style at all. People complained that the ps3 interface options displayed downwards when something was selected vs the ps4 opening a new interface or showing those options on the top. But it hasn't been a real big issue.

I've used both for a long time(XBL and PSN). Microsoft dropped the ball huge with the UI on the XB1 to me. I know they wanted it to look like Windows 8 but when you go to the store and pressing B to go back takes you out of the store...it's a horrible experience.

Yep, the XB1 still has ads right on the home screen for events you might never bother with.

Sounds to me like you had your mind made up before you even tried it.

Well that is dumb considering I have never used one before today. I like it, just not as much as the One. I dont take sides with consoles, I like games

What do you not like about it?

My problem with ds4--and frankly I cannot remember if I have this with other controllers or not--is my fingers slip. I control the sticks from the edge, never on top, and my thumb seems to slip over the top of it at which point since the top is mostly flat the thumb keeps on going. As such I regularly need to rekey it to the edge of the stick. I wonder if some after market cap made of some other material or shape could resolve the issue.

I dont dislike the ps4/controller but I do dislike the interface. I just dont like how it is setup or like how it looks visually. I also like how Kinect enhances the experience for me on the One so I should probably get the camera for the ps4, it would probably make it more enjoyable for me. The ps4 itself is a nice console and it will have some amazing games. Uncharted is my favorite series and I cant wait for the next one, it will be incredible Im sure
