I may *gasp* not buy Watch Dogs for a few months and wait for it to go on sale unless the pre-order bonus is worth it. Knowing what happened last year with The Show 13, I won't touch another game for 4 months.

Would the show be worth it if you aren't a big baseball fan? I never had a sport game and I ended up with 2k14 and really liked it.

Maybe because there is a new mode that accelerates the game by taking the batter and pitcher stats and starting you out with balls and strikes already based on those stats. A good hitter against an average pitcher and you will start with no strikes and two balls for example, you are ahead. If you are pitching and are pitching against the opposing team's pitcher then you may start with a couple strikes already, again depending on the stats of the players. You don't have to start 0-0 when you get an at bat. This should allow you to breeze through a game in 30minutes instead of the usual hour+.

It also has the best presentation and graphics of any sports title out there regardless of what sport is being compared. Nba2k14 looks fantastic but in the show they have modeled every player's swing, how they throw, every pitcher's stride and how they throw, how the players run etc. All in addition to modeling every stadium as realistically as possible. In NBA I always feel like I am in the same arena every game with a new name painted on the scoreboard and court. With the show, every stadium is unique. It is pretty great IMO.

I hate watching baseball, but I love The Show. I do play fantasy baseball as well. I think I like everything around baseball, but the game itself is just painful to watch unless I am at a stadium drinking beer.

I played a bit of Outlast last night. Good freaking lord that game stressed me out! I mean I have been watching horror movies since I was about 6 years old and I don't really find any of them scary anymore, but Outlast stressed me out so much I had to turn it off. In a totally dark room with the surround sound cranked? Damn creepy stuff. Impressive.

People say it is a short game. It felt like one of the longest for me. I kept wanting to see what was next but st the same time I also didn't want to continue. Their main goal was to make the user suffer and they did.

Yeah exactly, I swear this is going to take me forever to finish since I can only play in small bursts.

He's been there 19 years maybe he's looking for something else. Who knows, not too many details in the link. Ps4 is doing well right now, I'm wondering what made him leave.

What I am hoping for is that he just wanted to retire. I am sure he has made a killing there and now that the PS4 is off to such a good start, maybe he felt it was time to leave. I just hope that the next person does as good a job and shows the passion he did. It was great to see him talk about games and light up with excitement. We need more people like that in the industry.

I may do the same thing. I'm really looking forward to playing Watch Dogs, but The Show will be taking up all of my gaming time once it arrives.

They had an agreement that when his current contract with the company expired that he would not seek to renew according to the link. Seems like they knew about this for a while now.

For anyone interested, I believe IGN is getting ready to start their one hour live stream on infamous. I don't know whether I want to watch it just to get a better feel for the game, or not so that stuff isn't spoiled for me. I am guessing the one hour chunk will have a minimal amount of story in it.

Watching a bit of the inFamous stream now and the game looks great so far. I won't watch it all...just wanted a little peek. It's really impressive how far it has come from the PS3 games in terms of animations and effects.

I just watched 10 minutes of the stream and it looks great. Can't wait to play this and it looks like there will be a lot to do in the city. I'm also very impressed with the environment and all the interactions that help you generate powers. They block out the really cool parts because they don't want to spoil it for the players.

Next week there will be people streaming from other countries on psn too.

Infamous just doesn't seem to capture my interest at all, not sure why.

It stressed me out too but not in a scary way. I didn't play too far into it because i just constantly felt stressed, like it was more work than it was worth. Awesome idea for a game but the maniac mental ward stuff doesn't do it for me. Maybe some weird random enemies like in Silent Hill would help.

The stress was what they were going for. The idea that you are trapped and people constantly coming after you with no where to go.

The stressful part was the darkness because if someone comes after you you couldn't see where to go or know where you were suppose to go until after multiple attempts of just running around.

Definately not a game I want to play again lol.

I just started playing Outlast. This is the first game that has made me jump. I have been using my Sony gold headphones and the sound for this game going directly into my ears is really inmersive.

I'm kind of curious about this too. I always liked playing baseball games as a kid, but there's a lot of stuff I used to like that I don't anymore so it's hard to judge. I don't care for watching baseball and I don't follow it at all so the accuracy of the players and such would be lost on me.

It's a fun game and you can remove the aiming box for hitting so you just press power swing or normal swing and make the pitching more simple (aim where you want the ball to go and select pitch and you can curve the ball a bit with the analog stick after the throw). Or you can do it more of a simulation where each hitter gets a different sweet spot and you have to try to predict where the pitch will be in addition to selecting your swing type.

So it can be setup to be more of an arcade baseball game.

Just thought I'd post this for general info. Shows resolution and framerate comparisons. There actually are quite a few 60fps/1080p...or close enough games despite all the criticisms mentioning otherwise. Seems the 30fps games must be developer time/budget issue considering the type of game some are in comparison to the 60fps titles.

Not that I am entirely surprised, but every single cross platform game on that list runs better on the PS4.

I was kinda alluding that some of the titles appear to be a time/budget issue. Like why is TR or Metal Gear 60fps and Second Son not? Nothing technically superior software wise that I'm aware of in Second son so I suspect it's a developer thing ATM. So the PS4 was just powerful enough that it was effortless to have it perform better BUT once developers sort out MS's memory allocation differences, use some graphic engines that are designed with these hardware in mind and optimize them I really think it will end up being a non issue and most every game will likely be 1080p/60fps without having to devote more time and money into it.

However the slight hardware differences may still yield PS4 in favor when it comes to certain AAA exclusive titles but no doubt in my mind that multi plats will be identical within the next couple of years onwards.
