The only pickup@store stuff gamestop does is when you select a local store that has an item in stock. You can go pick it up locally instead of shipping. You pay the in-store price though. The website says that not all prices are the same between store and online. Which leads back to my convo with the local Manager I know. He would just match the price if it is different, but not all managers would do that.
This doesn't appear to be the same thing. I went to Yoshi's New Island and selected the Pickup@Store option, which is what I've seen in the past. That simply brought up the Hold for In-Store Pickup option where all you do is submit a request. I mentioned that as being the "old system" in the original post.
What I went through is completely different. This option first appears on your shopping cart where your shipping options are "ship to address" or "pick up at store". I added Yoshi's New Island to my cart and this option was not available. So, this might just be a way to pre-order games online.

Your Ultrasone's would be much better than any Turtle Beach stuff. The jack on the controller, much like the one on the XB1 adapter is stereo only. Supposedly the XB1 controller can do virtual surround from the digital output but I am not sure if this is possible yet. Anyhow, you should look into ways to get the most out of your current headphones as they are likely better than any gaming specific set with the exception of some of the actual headphone companies' offerings.
Meh. These political games companies play with launch dates, timing, region segmentation etc are stupid and I don't approve of such practices anyway.
Well, I agree with street date for a specific region. You don't want one store getting an advantage due to simply shipping the game earlier than another. It makes it fair...I can see the reason for it there. Plus it prevents the old problem of games just popping up on the shelf out of nowhere.
I've pre-ordered games from the website for a specific store before, that's not new. I'm just wondering how you can get the online discount code in the store and so far I haven't found a way to do that.

I keep hearing about Destiny yet that game still has not interested me. Not sure if it's the whole sci fi nature or what. Are they suppose to have a beta? I hear it's going to be like a elder scrolls but bigger for the ps4.
