i dunno, i just know there is some kind of "free version" of the game to ps+ subscribers that was supposed to come out today. maybe that part hasn't made it into the store yet?

Could be to make sure the servers aren't overloaded with the nonpaying PS+ subscribers. Give priority to those willing to pay the $50. I can wait a few days.

How do you get non paying ps+? It's a paid service unless they are worried about people with free trials of ps+ downloading. Anytime I didn't have ps+ and I tried downloading something that was free for those users I was not allowed.

nonpaying as in they aren't paying $50 for the game, not nonpaying as in PS+ is free, it isn't. BUT the PS+ game is free.

Again, it makes sense they would give priority to someone paying $50-60 for a game on day one vs. the thousands of PS+ subscribers who will be downloading the free version.

Yea forgot about that. Of course there are some who either forgot like myself, that it is supposed to be free or those who don't mind if its free or not. I have enough games to keep me busy so far.

Just wait a day or two, it will be free as advertised. Dont see the issue here.

yeah but that doesn't make any sense. every month they put games out that are free for ps+ but pay for non ps+ members. at launch resogun was free for ps+ members but pay for non ps+ members.

5pm EST is when they update the store, if it isn't up by then, be annoyed. But that's when I expect it.

I checked via my phone, and just about all of the PS+ games are available now. Although, the only one that I cared about, Rainbow Moon, isn't there for some reason. Now, it appears we get some game called Pix the Cat.

EDIT:

Apparently, I already own Rainbow Moon. Is it bad that I forgot that I bought it already? That might be why it isn't showing up, but I'm pretty sure it should show up regardless of whether I own it or not.

Also rumors are driveclub free edition wont be available today though no one is sure if it's related to the PSN issues, or sony is simply delaying it.

Picked up drive club today at Gamestop which from them you get some kind of exclusive car or something which I hate how they do that and take stuff out of the game to spread out content for pay dlc's or give free if you buy here crap. but I guess I don't get the India tracks unless i get the PPlus or buy it? pfffff....screw that. bit early to form an opinion and is a pretty game but so far it seems pretty basic to me as far as you just select race, vehicle then drive. Gameplay kind of reminds me of some of the old school racers, like NFS 2, 3, porche unleashed..etc with less focus on speed itself. boring menus, handling is frustrating so far. Atmosephere is good but nothing about anything that gives that wow presentation like how some NFS games do. Tracks are flat out gorgeous from what i've seen and so far I'm sucking at them to the point of patheticness.

Also the AI sucks, you get punished for collisions not your fault and seems pretty aggressive. In fact the AI is quite infuriating and it's a shame that AI for racers has never really gone anywhere. In this one though, the AI tends to bunch up and of course just as your about to win, another AI driver hits you, spinning you off the track and now your punished?...BS. It's one of those..crash and hit the reset button immediately type of racers ya know?
I also don't understand why the weather effects are being added in december if they had them working for demonstrations? I likely won't even care about this game by the time that patch comes.
I suppose if I had gamer friends to form a club with it might be more enjoyable.
I hate racers with objectives and I really, really hate drifting. Not really into this building up your fame thing. Time trials..omg how I despise those. Actually I wish it was more like NFS 2 and 3 to be honest.

But that's my most negative and in the face comments about it. So don't think I'm not enjoying it, I'm just nitpicking. I like how you can finish a race and post it as a challenge to others. The scenery and atmosphere is amazing, the sounds are good, lots of little details. Usually with arcade racer games like this all I really want to do is just race and hear some fun music to go along with the atmosphere and some fun eye candy...which this has for sure but it's still a pretty decent racer despite the cons. I also don't think the lack of quantity with cars and tracks is that bad, especially if you enjoyed some of the more old school racers like I do. Rent it if you can or wait and get it used later, don't run out and get new like I did until you're sure cause there is Project Cars coming soon, more of an actual sim and hopefully The Crew will pay off more as far as flat out fun arcade racing goes.

i did see a video of this game and the AI seems nearly identical to the shitty gran turismo AI. like every AI car was just in the same exact line directly behind the car in front of it. but ... it was just one video, and i haven't played it yet. so i could be totally wrong lol.

I just purchase 3 months of psn+ to try driveclub, sincerely I'm no a big fan of racing games, however I tried Forza Horizon 2 and it was gorgeos so going back to home I wanted to play something like that... and now they delay the psn+ version... well like I said, not going to pay $50 for it so i'll wait... and in the midtime I'm just downloading dirt 3 again on steam ksajfslkfjsaf...

reading about driveclub, it sounds like the entire game is a mess right now with servers not working and what not. after a year delay they can't even have the servers working at launch and then botch the ps+ edition that was one of the highly hyped up features about this game. pathetic.

I've got a question about PS4 privacy settings that hopefully someone can answer.

I've unchecked the setting for my friends to see my PS4 activities, yet somehow, my friends still see that I've "Player has played <insert game> 10 times."

Additionally, I see in my "What's new" section and on my PSN app (iOS) that it shows the "Player has played <game> 10 times." notices.

Isn't it supposed to hide those if I uncheck all the activities and hide those from everyone?

good idea on their part to delay that though, because then they'd have even more stress on the servers, and more people bitching about it. although, many of those same people are bitching because they can't get the free version anyways. a year delay for this botched launch lol.

quite a few of those paragraphs in his review just make me scratch my head about the direction this game took. considering all of the hype around this game, it really sounds like it isn't even close to living up to it. they hyped this game up as "THE" next gen racer, and it seems far from that.

i still can't wait to try out the ps+ version though. i really hope they get it up by tonight so i can try it out tonight.
