I didn't even know it was out yet. I have a smaller tv in the closet in my bedroom I could use. I too would have to connect via Ethernet and keep it and the tv close to my router. Although I don't have a vita so I would just be using the ps4 controller to play my ps4 games using the ps tv.
It just came out today. You can use the PS4 controllers with it, and they actually work fine. Although, one negative aspect is that there's touch-screen emulation built into the joysticks, but not using the touchpad on the DualShock 4. :hmm:
I'm going to try moving it downstairs and onto the same switch as the PS4. The only difference in regard to network topology that my Vita uses compared to the PlayStation TV is that my PSTV goes through the switch in my bedroom and my Vita goes through my router (via Wi-Fi). After that point, they all go to the main switch, which then goes downstairs to the living room switch, which is where the PS4 is. I also tried adjusting the resolution to see if it was some weird issue with scaling, but that didn't do anything.
I was also disappointed to see that Lumines isn't playable. I'm fairly certain that I saw it on the list of playable games at one point, which made me wonder how they'd implement the back-tap mechanic. The thing is... tapping the back to build up your special is the
only Vita-centric feature, and honestly, I've always hated it. So, I wish the PlayStation TV would just ignore it.
