I hope they get a controller similar to he one on the Xbox 360 as i've never really liked the Playstation controller
360 controller a bit too big. Smaller ps is much better to me.
One thing I hope for this generation is that Sony has allowed themselves to update of social side of the console and what it can do as we go. Whether you use it or not, the fact that they still don't have a cross game chat at this point on the ps3 is embarrassing. I don't expect them to do the software side of it as good as MS, since that is not their thing, but I hope that they can try to catch up on features as they go this time.
Yeah, you missed the point. What I was saying is that during the entire life span of the ps3, they couldn't do cross game chat because of console limitations or whatever. I am saying that I hope that they have "future proofed" the console enough so that if MS rolls out a cool feature on the software side, they can put their own spin on it and bring it to the console. They announced TWICE that cross game chat is available and working on the PS4.

Nice article that Gamasutra put up and was somehow missed.

It's about the DRM stuff and online passes.
"In a way it's a little bit sad in that what we've been doing all along gets such a big cheer."
Do these people even listen to themselves? Yeah this is the same you've been doing all along, except for the online pass you did the last couple of years.
Plus, like he points out, since they're now charging for online multiplayer, they are still charging you. It doesn't matter if its an online pass or if its a "service" charge, they're still charging you money for that. But hey, same as they've been doing all along, right?
And to top it off, Sony has repeatedly said its up to the publishers if they want to implement whatever they want (DRM, used game restrictions), which is effectively the same as what Microsoft is doing other than we know for sure that One disc based will have extra hassle. I can't imagine the big publishers implementing something just on the One and not also doing it on PS4.
Yeah, you're right. In fact, while every sony exclusive was coming with a online code, none of the MS games were, but everyone has forgotten that. I will give Sony credit, they took their lumps at the beginning of this generation and learned from it. They know that you have to pull in the hardcore gamers first, and they will spread word about your console. The two easiest ways to do that is with a good price and to make them feel good with the things you say, and they are knocking it out of that park on those two areas.Do these people even listen to themselves? Yeah this is the same you've been doing all along, except for the online pass you did the last couple of years.

LOL...no just no
First off, they ALWAYS has the option to DRM their games on 360 and PS3. Almost nobody did. Online pass is gone. Even EA abandoned it so don't even try to bring that up.

I know that the newest exclusive I bought from Sony, The Show, still had an online pass. I will find out this weekend if The Last of Us does too. Sony can say they never did DRM stuff, but they certainly did.
I went back and read what was said and you're right. Mainly I am laughing at people getting stirred up. Everyone is so on edge about something as small as a video game console.I don't think they or anyone else has ever said they didn't do some DRM.
AFTER christmas?

Yeah I'm sure that will work out really great.

I guess I am fortunate to have zero issues with either controller design. I kind of feel bad for those who have comfort or ergonomic issues with one or the other. I would hate to have to limit myself because I had issues with a controller.
Dead Rising 3 is more 'mature, sophisticated'
As Jim reported, Dead Rising 3 is being aimed to appeal to Call of Duty fans.
