At least I can use a simple adapter for my Sennheiser PC360 headset for the PS4. It uses the same connectors as the Xbox 360's controller it seems.

not sure why this is a surprise. when is the last time a previous console's controller worked on the current ones. i believe it was psx controllers working on ps2. it would be a stupid business decision for them.

xcm has already confirmed though that they will be working on adapters for ps4 and xbox1 as soon as the console are released. i'll probably pick up a madcatz te2 at launch then hopefully down the road i will get my joysticks converted to work on the new gen consoles.

i may just get a wired x1 controller and mod my joystick with that.

and if you spent $200 on a te, you're doing it wrong.

I have a modded stick with custom buttons etc. I'll have to do some PCB mods eventually to get it working, that is if there's even any decent fighters for it. Might not need to and just continue using my PS3 or PC for them when I really wanna play.

Haha I wish too. Looks like I will be buying at launch knack, watchdogs, cod ghosts, and bf4. The other stuff can wait I'll be logging many hours in watchdogs too.

It's probably just not going to be ready on day one. Launch window includes launch day up until april 1

Mid November sounds correct, unless all of them sell out right after, launching them during black Friday would be kind of pointless. I wonder how many each store is set to receive besides the pre orders.

I would assume the consoles would hit before Black Friday.

My job said around November 31st for the PS4 for the Launch Edition and around December 31st for the bundles

Current rumors are saying it will release anywhere from October 26th till mid November.

I believe it will be mid Nov myself. The hardware is getting ready to start being manufactured (parts are starting to ship to the factory) soon. The biggest thing that is going to hold them up is waiting for the launch titles to be finished in time. Sony will want to get it out before the X1 but they don't need to rush it anymore than that.

It would probably be tempting to sell mine if I could make some good money off of it. At the same time, I would hate waiting a month to get myself another.

I thought about doing that when the Wii launched. I would buy one whenever I could (probably 5 or so), but a friend or relative of a friend was always looking for one for their kid. Anyways, I always sold them at cost. They were going for at least double. Guess I'm not much of a business man.

I dont see anything that would warrant that kind of profit this time around. There is nothing really all that compelling about either console, just better versions of what is available now. No killer app like the motion control + Wii Sports combo.

Besides better graphics and newer games, there still will be use for the previous gen console. Mainly because it has everything most people want. 1080p blu ray, supports most steaming content available, and they are still going to make games for it for a while I believe. Watch dogs, bf4, assassin's creed, will be out for ps3 too. Until they come out with mind blowing exclusives and really good games to show off the new generation, I don't see people paying double. Maybe 50-100 bucks more if they promised their kid one for the holidays.

The Wii was always an exception. I don't know any parent who wasn't looking for one for their kids when it came out. I bought one for my bro and sis when they were younger and it was me who spent more time on it than they did.

Sony said in some interview report they expect to be able to produce 1 million PS4 a month once manufacturing was fully going and they can expand it if needed.
They don't have any yield/supply problems like MS is have with the esram.
